Great movies influence great style! And every bride–past, present and future–cares about style. Brides, moms, birthday girls—every women has a style and likes to show off that style in the way they dress, the cars they drive and the stationery they use to share life’s big moments with family and friends. With that in mind, Paper Shouts has partnered with 20th Century Fox to give you a taste of some great style and great fun. One Lucky reader will win a copy of the brand new dvd BRIDE WARS by 20th Century Fox as well as a $25 Paper Shouts Gift Certificate!
Many sites around the blogosphere are taking part in this FAB contest, and the winner from this site will be entered into a pool of the winners from all the other participating sites for a Grand Prize drawing on the Paper Shouts website. Prizes include movie memorabilia such as the sunglasses worn in the movie by Kate Hudson and a movie one-sheet signed by Kate Hudson and Anne Hathaway and the Grand Prize is a great Mexican vacation—6 nights at the CasaMagna Marriott Cancun Resort and airfare for 2 on AirTran airlines!!!
In case you haven’t heard about the movie- the premise is TOO funny!
“Liv (Kate Hudson) and Emma (Anne Hathaway), best friends since childhood, are always there for each other, through good times and bad. They even become engaged to be married within a few hours of one another. Together they plan their respective weddings, each to take place at New York’s ultimate bridal destination, the Plaza Hotel. But a clerical error and subsequent clash in wedding dates pits the two brides – neither of whom will step aside – against each other, in a competition that quickly escalates into all-out war.”
BRIDE WARS releases on DVD and Blue-Ray on April 28th!

I love the chocolate touch of floral. Too awesome!

I feel a little bit of both characters. Certain areas I’m Liv, wanting the best (my splurge areas) and certain areas I’m more traditional like Emma!
I would have to say I am a bit more traditional like Emma. She had an awesome sense of style that was more toned down and classic like my own personal style.
I’m a big fan of the Bubblegum Floral Arrangement bridal shower invitations! They are fantastic! Hopefully my bridesmaids are reading this response.

Wow, I loved both of these girls. I guess I would say I’m a bit more like Liv because i like something a little more edgy and unique. I LOVED Liv’s dress in this movie… gorgeous!
My fave invites were the wedding buds. Classic with a touch of whimsy…

I have yet to see Bride Wars, but it is on my Netflix!!!! As you described the two leading ladies, I would have to say I am more like Emma, more romantic than traditional.
I really enjoyed the Coral Toile Celebration bridal shower invites. They are whimsical and fun.
The pink and white stripe invitation is my favorite and I relate more to Emma.
Golly. There’s so much stuff on their site I like. I think if I ordered anything it would be the Metallic Blue Ribbon invite. I really like the simplicity of it, which I guess would make me more like Emma.
I love the “cocktail party.” It’s so cute, summery and fun! And absolutely relate more to Liv but have a much more restrictive budget! Ah champagne taste on a beer budget….
Plus, I like to have something that is unique and absolutely me–no white roses for this girl!
So many cute designs it was so hard to choose! But I love the Honeydew Floral thank you card. And I love Liv in the movie, very unique and quirky like me!
Sold on Honey Dew Floral Polka Dots bridal shower invite. How adorable, and fitting with my color pattern!! I think I can be a little like both characters at times, but I probably relate more to Liv.
I’m super excited for BrideWars to come out!!!
I am more like emma, romantic and (somewhat) traditional.
As for the paper shouts, you’re right about it being difficult to choose!
I was able to narrow it down to two, Peapod Hearts and elegant peapod floral.
I really liked the Honey Dew Shower shower invitation and I think I like Liv’s style more in the movie.
I love the Vintage Black Lace.
Throughout the whole movie I kept changing my mind who I was more like. If you meshed Liv and Emma that would be Lesley (me).
I love the Honey Dew metallic. The texas orange love birds are awesome! Wouldn’t my fiance be thrilled if orange was in our wedding somewhere!
I would say I am more like Liv. I want that Martha Stewart wedding. And I’m getting it diy way – not couture budget way!
I love the spa blue lace metallic design.
I am definitely more Emma. “Simple yet effective” is my motto!
I love the simple cranberry floral save the dates. They work well with our winter wedding. I relate best to EMma’s romantic traditional style.
I’m definitely an Emma!
And I ADORE the floral metallic in clover. These are great!
Why do you only really post sponsored competitions now? I know you are getting to the business end of the wedding and life has been stressful for you of late (tornadoes, work etc). But I don’t follow your blog for the competitions and sponsors, I read it to get inspiration and learn about your particular wedding journey.
Oh you were right! There are so many adorable ones! I looked through all these cards and invites for a good 30 minutes going back and forth! I finally settled one the bubble gum bridal shower card..they are simple and clean, yet so girly and cute! As far as which character I am like, I think I am more like Emma, with the romantic style, but I do defiantly have my Liv moments

I think I must have Spring fever right now, because I was attracted to a bunch of bright, cheerful ones, but particularly Honey Dew Metallic and Coral Metallic. I also really love the Peach Floral Parade. So many great choices! And I love that they’re recycled.
I’d say I’m definitely more like Emma, but maybe not with my invitation choices which aren’t especially traditional. C’est la vie. I like what I like!
Thanks for the great giveaway!
My favorite invitation happens to be the chocolate circular invitation. Formal with just enough whimsy.
I llooovvee Little Bit’a Peach Love. It’s way fitting for a vintage style wedding. The color is so soft and appealing.
I am much more like Emma, traditional but with a soft, romatic touch.
I’m more like Emma and love the Pink Stamp Birthday Invite!

I’m the Maid of Honor for one of my closest friends upcoming nuptials, so I checked out Paper Shouts bridal shower invites. Thanks so much for the referal, because I will absolutely be ordering the Black and White Floral with the bright pink accents. It’s perfect for the colors she is using in her wedding.

I loved Bride Wars and I would be thrilled to have Emma’s closet. I thought Anne Hathaway looked amazing in the film.
Thanks for the fun opportunities. I love your reading your blog and seeing all the ideas you come up with for your wedding. Thanks for sharing.
Emma
Springtime Peapod Floral
What a great giveaway! I loved Bride Wars, and I think my style is more Emma!
As for the Paper Shouts, loved the B+W Floral Engagement Invites! They are perfect!
Boooo I can’t get to the link for Paper Shouts. It tells me I’m not authorized to see the site–weird! I really dig the blue invitation that you posted up above though.
And as far as Bridal Wars, I am def like Liv!
I love the Honey Dew!! Everything on the site is freakin amazing!! Wow! I am so glad that you shared this with us!
& I am so Liv! Love her style!
Thanks!!
xoxo
Ladies! I had this happen to me. Not with a frien but a stranger.. I booked my date at our favorite location, signed the contract and all, only to find out that they double booked the date and that I was the second booking! I don’t know how I remained calm but I did and we got another great date that actually bumped up our wait. That is the story of how we are getting married on Jan 30, 2010… : )
I saw the movie…I think I’m a mixture of both Emma and Liv. If you combined both characters into one person, I would be that person.
After spending an hour going through Paper Shouts site, I believe the Green and Chocolate Border Thank you cards is what I choose.
Thank you and I hope things are much better!
The Ocean Swirling Heart Thank You cards would be perfect. Our main color is light blue and it’s simple but elegant, just like us and our wedding. Plus, the thank you cards would be so great as we just had our first shower.
I really like the chocolate lace thank you cards. They match the theme of my fall wedding perfectly!
And I’m totally an “Emma”. I’m all about the soft, whimsical romantic touches. I’m a down to earth traditional bride!
