Dress fitting #2!

I can’t believe it’s been 3 weeks already!!! Here’s the newest pics of my gown. I’m going back in on Thursday to try it on again- I was feeling a bit ‘indecent’ about the bust area and wanted more coverage, so that’s what will change for my fitting Thursday. I also have to let Dena know whether or not I want a zip up back or a corset/lace up back. Thoughts? The price won’t change… let me know what you think! PS- I think I lost a few more inches- Dena had to pin my waist in even more this time! icon smile in Dress fitting #2! and the dress our wedding I’m loving my dress and so happy to see it coming together! icon smile in Dress fitting #2! and the dress our wedding

  • Amy:

I love it. It’s so pretty.

  • i’m voting for the lace-up. when i was trying on dresses, i heard lots of feedback on how much easier to fit the lace-up option is. and i think it looks really cool. :)

  • You look so svelte in these pictures! The dress is coming together so nicely! Makes me (kind of) consider the “made from scratch” process for myself.

  • Normally I’d say to get a zip-up back, but the corset-style will be perfect if you keep losing weight because you can always make it a bit tighter.

  • Autumn:

Wow, look at your little waist, congratulations! I think the corset v. zip up is really a personal preference (I personally don’t care for the corset look but obviously lots of people do!).

Two things to think about: if you get the corset, like AmeliaCarolyn above, it’s much easier to just snug it up if you lose a little more weight between the last fitting and your wedding, AND, you won’t need any kind of support garment for your tummy because the corset itself will suck you up and in.

    It’s coming along beautifully!

  • oh it is gorgeous!! I saw zip up back with buttons!!

  • sgdish:

    Congratulations!

Beautiful dress. If you think you’ll be losing more weight, the corset back would be more forgiving, especially if your dressmaker would charge additionally for more alterations later. However, if they don’t charge, the buttons up the back are a beautiful detail as well. Either way, you’ll be a beautiful bride!

  • Shamika:

Looking good is all I can say! I like it without the straps

  • your dress is coming along beautifully! my dress is also strapless, but because i am also afraid of *cough cough* showing, I am having a friend of mine sew a chiffon fabric in wide halter-style so the girls stay upright all night. the dress looks beautiful just the way it is…but if you’re still concerned don’t be afraid to embellish some more ornate straps to your gown!!
