Anne’s Venue | The Budget Savvy Bride
The Budget Savvy Bride

After the initial frenzy of just being engaged died down, we began our search for the perfect venue. I researched hotels, country clubs, more residential options and everything in between, but we could not find the perfect place. A friend of mine recently got married and after seeing the breathtaking views in her pictures, I had to find out more. The Roof With A View deserved a closer look. My fiance and I made an appointment to go and tour the facility. The venue is on the top floor of a local building just outside of uptown Charlotte. It has floor to ceiling windows and a terrace that overlook our skyline. We both fell in love with it! We really loved th the view, and thought it would be special to overlook the city where we fell in love.

Our ceremony and reception will both be here. We can get married inside or outside, I have not decided yet. One of the things that attracted us to the venue is that there is no preferred caterer so we have more flexibility with vendors and we can bring in our own alcohol. This is going to save us a lot of money. The interior of the venue is a blank slate, this gives us the opportunity to inject bursts of color. Many of the places that we toured had distracting carpets or walls, that would be difficult to decorate around.

Oh, and I think my G2B loves this place so much because it is right next to Bank of America Stadium, the Carolina Panthers’ home field. For our four hour event we will be paying $3300, tables and chairs are included, so we will not have to worry about renting those items.
