helping brides create beautiful weddings without breaking the bank

Robert and Katie’s engagement session at Petco Park in San Diego isn’t just adorable, it was meaningful to the couple as well. Robert proposed to Katie at Petco Park on January 15th, so what a perfect place to take their engagement pics! Hope you enjoy these sweet photos by Jared Aiono of Akona Photography. Katie also shared with me how Robert proposed! So sweet and heartfelt:

About 4 months prior to our engagement, Robert and I had gone to visit the ballpark, because I wanted to show him something special. When the ballpark was being built there was an opportunity for fans to purchase engraved bricks to pave a walkway. My family had purchased one in memory of my father who passed away 11 years ago. It reads, “In Memory of Michael who had 3 loves, God Family and Baseball.” I’m not very open with talking about my dad or his death, so it was a very special to share that moment with Robert.

The day Robert proposed, we went to Balboa Park (another date site) and I was SO sure he was proposing there… but when we headed back towards the car I got really nervous! He ended up taking me to Petco Park to the same location of the bricks, and he mentioned my father in his proposal. It was absolutely perfect!

Don’t you just love her dress?? So cute!
