helping brides create beautiful weddings without breaking the bank

What’s better than being budget-savvy? Being budget-savvy and eco-friendly! :) I came across a company called Ecoware Biodegradables that sells these adorable wooden utensils (which are completely biodegradable and are made of birch wood) in bulk. They sell them in cases of 1000 for $56.99 which includes shipping. For the wedding I only need about 150-200 of each I think. But they are a great alternative to plasticware as they are biodegradable. At that bulk price it’s only .05-ish cents per utensil! I got quoted .35 cents a piece for real silverware from most rental companies. If you were to get a fork, spoon, and knife for 200 people at .35 cents each that’s $157.50 plus tax! Seriously, people!? I can get 1000 of each for a few dollars more with Ecoware!

I got them to send me a sample to test out the quality and sturdiness, and it passed the test on chicken, italian sausage, and even on soggy sides like Mac&Cheese. So it’s a GO! :) They shipped out yesterday so hopefully I will have them soon! I plan on wrapping some of my scrap paper from my invites around them with bakers twine or something similar. Isn’t it fun to be chic and earth-friendly? :) They don’t have a way to order directly from the site, but there is contact info there for the sales department and they were super friendly and easy to work with. I definitely recommend Ecoware Biodegradables to anyone looking for a cheap alternative to renting real silverware and still wanting to be eco-friendly!

Look at the prettiness that is created with these adorable utensils:
