No matter the size of your budget, there are likely going to be things that simply don't make the cut, priority-wise. One thing I personally didn't budget for when I was getting married was wedding videography. When working with a $10,000 wedding budget for a guest list of 150, it was just too difficult to fit it in with all the other priorities we had for our day.
Lucky for me, my maid of honor's parents hired a videographer to capture our day as a surprise wedding gift for us! The videographer filmed our day and supplied us with the footage so we could make a video with it at a time when we could afford it. Lemme tell ya– it is AMAZING and emotional and beautiful to be able to watch back those moments of us exchanging our vows. I am so so grateful to have that video now so I highly recommend you have something in place for videography, at least of your ceremony! I don't think I realized how powerful video could be until I had the chance to take a look at the footage. Now I tell everyone I know to be sure to have someone *at least* capture your ceremony and vows.
Think you can't afford wedding videography for your big day? Think again!
Yes, I know… wedding videography can be quite pricey. Nice equipment and fancy editing don't come cheap. The good news is, you don't have to hire a pro. Ask your family and friends to video various things throughout your day, and you can have WeddingMix turn them into an amazing, edited video! Your guests can download the free WeddingMix app to submit any photos or videos to your event — so you'll get all the views from your big day through the eyes of your loved ones. The WeddingMix team then does their editing magic and creates a keepsake wedding video for you to watch and enjoy and relive those meaningful moments for years to come! And best of all, it's budget savvy– they've got video options as low as $99!
Embarrassingly enough, after all this time, I *still* hadn't done anything with my wedding video. So after learning about what the team at WeddingMix can do, I had them whip up an edited highlight video for us to enjoy! The process couldn't have been simpler, I just provided them with my files and they made their magic happen. So fun! Check out my highlight video below:
So great, right? I get teary hearing pieces of our ceremony. ❤️
WeddingMix has packages to suit couples of all budgets – with options as low as $99. Your guests can use their smartphones to record video and photos, or you can choose an upgraded package where they will send you GoPro cameras to use to capture your day. Then, they take all the photos and videos and masterfully edit them into a beautiful video! It seriously couldn't be simpler, or more affordable.
A special offer
And guess what else? I used my savvy skills to get The Budget Savvy Bride readers a bonus when they use WeddingMix for their wedding video!
