Eric + Erin | The Budget Savvy Bride
The Budget Savvy Bride

BSWOW

Today for the BSWOW we have a delightful beach wedding to help us forget about the temperatures that are dropping now as we head into the cold season! :) Erin and Eric kept their guest list small to save money, but had a beautiful day nonetheless! I just love the intimate feel of this wedding! The starfish on the pew markers are just adorable! Thanks to Maria Angela Photography for submitting this wedding via Two Bright Lights, and to Erin for sharing these details with us! Hope you enjoy!

What was your budget? Give a rough breakdown of what you spent if possible.

The dress was $1500, the Tuxes were $250. Flowers were $500, Photographer $900, Videographer $850, Backdrop and chair rental $400, Decor $100, Beach permit $100, cellist $200, Officiant $200 = $4900

We did dinner with everyone at Jacaranda. It cost $900. We decided to just do the intimate dinner since there was such a small amount of people celebrating with us. They had a bar there and so our best man set up for the band to sing us a song for our first dance. It was sweet! So in total, we spent around $6,000.

How many guests did you have?

We had 30 guests

What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?

Eric proposed on Bowman’s beach which is why we chose this location. We both love the beach and couldn’t imagine a better place to tie the knot.

What was the biggest thing you did to save money?

The biggest thing we did to save money would be do everything ourselves, from picking up the rentals ourselves and not paying for delivery to finding our own vendors and not paying for a coordinator.

What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?

The best advise I have is to know that everything will turn out perfect because in the end the only thing that matters is the person waiting at the end of the aisle for you.

What was your biggest splurge?

The Dress (Two by Rosa Clara)

What was your favorite detail?

The seashells and starfish

What is the most memorable moment of your day?

Getting to finally marry my best friend

  1. Thank you so much for sharing! I am thinking of getting married on Captiva Island at a family friends house and then having the rehearsal dinner or maybe even the reception at their restaurant the Jac! I'm so happy to hear that someone else has done this as well!
