Circus Theme | The Budget Savvy Bride
The Budget Savvy Bride

Last month my book club read the NYT Bestseller Water for Elephants, which centers around the lives of people who are part of a traveling circus. So our host for book club decided to play into the theme when preparing our snacks for the evening! Lacey did such an adorable job I had to share it! A theme like this could be used for a shower or rehearsal dinner or even a wedding!

the spread! Lots of bright colors and goodies! :)

Loved the animal crackers, apples and sweet dip she had.

The gumball jar centerpieces were so adorable! Loved all the color they added to the table. Lacey had us guess how many gumballs were in the jars for the chance to win a little prize! So cute!

Popcorn is essential to a circus. Lacey has been taking a calligraphy class so she used her new skill to create the cute little cards for the displays!

Aren’t the cupcakes cute? Almost mimics a circus tent on the little shelf they are on!

Isn’t it cute? I love seeing circus themes- they are so lighthearted and fun! Thanks Lacey for letting me share this with my readers! :)

  1. I want to join your book club. I'm a good reader, I promise.

    • We are actually meeting tonight but I will let you know about the next one if you really want to come!

  2. Its tough to guess :D I think there are 500 gumballs? Is that right? not more than 1000 I believe :D

    • Actually I think there were more than 1000! There were two large jars filled with both large and small ones! I guessed around 700 I think and was still WAY off! haha

There were actually 1406 gumballs. I originally ordered 2 sets of 278 from Oriental Trading and was left disappointed because they were tiny. I then found a local Nashville distributing company that let me pick up that same day one box of 850 1 inch Double Bubble that worked perfectly. So not to be wasteful I used them all! I loved it! They stayed on my table for a few weeks then I bagged them into favors for a friend’s son birthday party.
