helping brides create beautiful weddings without breaking the bank

When Stephanie realized that a Caribbean destination wedding wasn't an option, she decided to bring the Caribbean wedding to her Florida wedding. And she pulled it off beautifully! I love the vibrant colors and the fun tropical accents.  Her and Timothy's hard work of DIYing paid off! They created a fun and memorable wedding and reception for their guests. Enjoy today's colorful tropical themed wedding! xoxo, Jessica

Venue: $992.00

How many guests did you have?

We invited around 100. About 85 actually attended.

What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?

I made all of the decorations myself, with family help. We were wanting to do a destination wedding but that was not feasible for our families to attend. So we brought a Jamaicas feel to our wedding site with a very tropical theme.

What was the biggest thing you did to save money?

We prioritized where we wanted our money to go, then DIYed as much as we could.

What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?

There are a few things that we thought were high priorities, and now they don’t seem to be even something we can recall without looking at pictures.

What was your biggest splurge?

My wedding dress was my biggest splurge, but I did get it on sale at a trunk show.

What was your favorite detail?

I loved our theme, and we tried to tie it into every aspect and that made the evening so fun.

What is the most memorable moment of your day?

Having a blast with all of our family and friends there celebrating our marriage.
