Destination weddings in Jamaica

I think it’s safe to say that the travel I’ve done this year has only resulted in developing a HUGE crush on destination weddings. After visiting Montego Bay, Jamaica this fall, I really fell in love with the idea. When you’re surrounded by this tropical paradise, I imagine the typical wedding day stresses just fading away…

There are many reasons to consider Jamaica as a possible location for your destination wedding — from the various settings the island has to offer to the incredible food and culture to be experienced. Chances are, whatever you have in mind for your tropical destination wedding, Jamaica has it in spades!

all-inclusive resorts

When I visited Montego Bay, I had the opportunity to check out some great venues that cater to destination brides. The following properties are all-inclusive resorts – which means that the cost of food and beverage (and often other amenities) are included in the price of your stay. I really love all-inclusives because you don’t have to worry about budgeting your funds for food and entertainment or keeping cash or credit cards on hand! Low stress, and often a really great deal, all-inclusive resorts also keep things simple for your guests who are traveling to join you for your wedding day.

Many all-inclusive resorts also have great options for families and children with on-site activities and childcare so the adults can relax and have some alone time. It’s a definite plus for any of your guests who are traveling with kids! If you’re looking for a more low-key kid-free experience — Jamaica also has a few fantastic adults only all-inclusives so you can enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay.

All-inclusive resorts also make great venues for destination weddings because they often offer promotions, freebies or discounts based on the size of your party or guest list. Since most of your wedding guests will likely stay on-site at the resort you choose to get married, you can get bonuses for meeting certain room booking requirements. These promos can vary from a free wedding cake to free room upgrades for the bride and groom! It’s definitely worth inquiring about any specials a resort may offer prior to booking.

So are you excited to hear about the all-inclusive properties I had the chance to check out? Below you can read about these fabulous options for your destination wedding in Montego Bay:
