We chose a branch design docking ring in sterling silver (that will work as my engagement and wedding band), with a small garnet (my birthstone and favorite gem) and it only came out to $360. He’s getting a branch ring as well that was only $150

My fiance and I just recently got engaged but we picked the ring out together. We were both concerned about the price of the engagement ring because he of course wanted only the best for me but it came with a high price. After checking out all the wedding rings in the world (not literally) we managed to find one in a decent price and it sparkled so much MORE than all of the $10,000+ rings we looked at. It’s not no 1.5 ct but it has all the sparkles I need and just the perfect size. We both fell in love with it as soon as I tried it on. I would have to say that I fell in love with the way the diamonds shined as opposed to how ever big the diamond in the middle was. The diamonds that surround the solitare makes it look even bigger :) it’s kind of like a mirage in some sense hehe.

My engagement ring belonged to my fiance’s great-grandmother and happens to have a diamond. I have no idea how many carats it is but I don’t care. It’s special to me because it’s been in the family. It just also happens to be beautiful (in my eyes). For our wedding bands we are going to simple gold band route. I’m actually considering a band that uses both yellow and white gold twisted together, but it will not have any bling on it.
