helping brides create beautiful weddings without breaking the bank

I have gone to Michael’s like… oh… 6 times in the last week I think… And each time I bring this coupon with me. :-P (Feel free to take and use it yourself… but you didn’t get it from me… *wink wink*)

I had to make a new portfolio of my work, and wouldn’t you know it- a black scrapbooking album makes a great porfolio! :)
And it only cost me $5 with this coupon!

Sorry, it’s sideways. Taken with my iPhone :-P

Yesterday I bought this… I’d been eyeing it for months… only $20 with the coupon… and worth every penny.

Now my sharpie collection, sketching pens, stapler, colored pencils, etc… are all within reach whenever I need them. :) I love finding things that help me get organized. :) The best part is that it is a carousel… so it spins. Funnnnnnnn…. it’s the little things… ya know? :)

I’m hoping to do some crafty projects soon. I bought a bunch of Uppercase Living stuff back in December that I have yet to use. I know it’s supposed to go on the wall.. but I am thinking of putting the stuff I got on a canvas and some wood planks… random I know. I got the same style as this but with a “B” for Bishop in black, and I plan to mount it on a canvas like this:

I’m also thinking about trying to make a magnet board for my office… I found some tutorials online that I’m considering. I got inspired by these that I saw at Social Graces in Hillsboro Village.

I think I want to cover the metal with a cute fabric, but then frame it… I think it would look more polished…

See… i am in UBER nesting mode. I want to make things. I want to do crafts. I want to buy old furniture and restore it. We are praying praying praying that we get this townhouse… :) I can’t wait to move in already! What do you do when you’re feeling crafty?

oh my gosh – uppercase! why didn’t I think of that?! the FI and I became obsessed with this wall art from Pottery Barn… http://www.potterybarn.com/products/p13157/index.cfm?pkey=cwall%2Dart

(hope that linked) But we weren’t willing to pay $200 for it. FI said he could make it himself and if we did we’d rather have our new last name initial on it “W”.

Long comment to say thank you for bringing Uppercase to my attention – getting a W from them to mount on wood planks will be perfect!! :)

I’ve been eyeing that carousel, too! I get the Michael’s coupons emailed to me, but the closest one is over 3 hours away. I’ll have to make a trip this fall!
