helping brides create beautiful weddings without breaking the bank

The guest room is one room in our house that we have yet to do anything with. It’s a pretty sad sight, really. Just a lonely bed on a rolling frame with a makeshift desk for E’s computer. Take a look for yourself:

So I’ve been dreaming up decor ideas for our 2nd bedroom. I’d already decided to paint it the same color as our master bath. This pale blue/turquoise-y color.

So here’s what I’m thinking in terms of furnishings…

from Ikea

from Target, 3 years ago

from Pier 1

I’ve been drooling over this pillow for weeks

from Ikea

I’d get 2 of these…

from Pbteen

Not sure what color lampshade… red? white? gold?

from Ikea

I’d probably get 3 of these and group them together on the wall

Then I plan to refinish an old desk we’ve got in storage to match the white… All this plus the cost of paint, I could furnish and transform the whole room for under $500. Still saving but hope to be able to pull it off some day. :)

I think this is perfect!!! Our guest room is just the pile-all room… hopefully I can do something with it soon! :)

Omg I love all your ideas…especially the full bed frame and the rose pillow!! That red and blue are going to look like a million bucks…..I'm driving to Pier 1 right now :0)
