We here at BSB are taking a day off to do what matters most: spending time with family and being thankful for the many blessings in our lives. E & I are happy to be back home in Nashville to see our families for the first time in many months. (I want to treasure these moments as they are few and far between nowadays.)
I’ve always loved Thanksgiving because it prompts us to take notice of all we have to be grateful for – and I personally believe that gratitude is the key to happiness. Even when times are tough or you have a terrible day, taking a moment to remember all that you have to be thankful for is an instant attitude adjustment- especially if you consider those who are much less fortunate than you may be.
When I think back on the times of planning our wedding, the one thing that comes to mind is gratitude. We had a modest but wonderful wedding day thanks to the help of so many loved ones and friends. It will always be a day I am thankful for and it just reminds me how lucky we are to have so many people who love and support us. If you can keep your focus on those things- on what truly matters most- and keep gratitude in your heart, you are sure to have a joyful wedding day and beyond. 🙂
I have much to be thankful for this year: in addition to my family and all of our basic needs being met, I am incredibly thankful for our lovely team of bride bloggers, each and every bride who reads this blog (I truly hope this site is helpful to you!), and the opportunity to spend my life helping people. THANK YOU ALL!
Wishing you and yours a warm and happy holiday full of love and gratitude. (And lots of delish food!)
