I really did think about this stuff a LOT as you know. I figured I would probably be ready someday, but I also knew I wasn't right then. It also frustrated me when I felt pressure to get married, and Jon was really good at diffusing those kinds of thoughts and reminding me that our relationship is about US and no one else. Those were exactly the kinds of reasons that made it so easy to say "yes" in the end! :)

This is a great post, and I know that I felt the same way when Dan proposed. I didn't know that I was going to say yes, but in that moment it just made perfect sense to me. I also told Dan that I needed to become a Jazzercise instructor before we got engaged. I know that sounds weird, but it was definitely part of my needing to grow as a person and do something for myself before we took the next step. Hope everything is going well! :)
