How did you meet?

We met on Instagram! I had been taking pictures with a photographer. I saw a few pictures he took of Eric online and I thought he was so handsome. I followed him, messaged him, and we hit it off!

What is your proposal story?

I had to run some errands and Eric called me to say his truck wasn’t working. I met him outside of this beautiful location. When I got out of my car to see what was going on, he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes!

It was very laid back and a total surprise, but I wouldn’t change a thing.

Tell us about your wedding.

I wanted a simple, elegant, and stress free wedding with a beautiful location. When we found Chapel in the Hollow, I knew it was perfect! I used a touch of blue as it was early August and I wanted a pretty summer color to bring it all together.

What was the most important to the two of you while planning?

The most important thing to us was just making sure that the main details of the day went as smoothly as possible.

We didn’t want to have to stress at all the day of the wedding. We just wanted to show up and keep it intimate and small. We also wanted it to be just between us and close family.

We decided to splurge on our wedding location, and the dinner afterwards.

What was your favorite part of the day?

Our favorite part of the whole day was seeing each other’s faces when they opened the doors and I started walking down the aisle. We both knew in that moment that we were destined to be together forever and nothing could ever come between us.

What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?

Communicate and talk to each other about what each person wants. A big wedding is not always better.

Is there anything else you’d like us to know?

My first husband passed away in 2021 due to a heart attack. This was the start of chapter two for my son and I. Our day couldn’t have been more perfect thanks to Chapel in the Hollow. It was so special and intimate, and a day I will never forget!
