helping brides create beautiful weddings without breaking the bank

Good morning and Happy Friday! I realized yesterday that today is my 6 month blogiversary! I can’t believe I’ve been writing here for that long already! I started this blog on May 7, a little over 2 weeks after E asked me to marry him. I can’t believe how fast time has gone by. It’s so exciting, but also so very scary- we have less than 6 months until the wedding and I still have SO much to do! I just wanted to take a moment to thank anyone who has ever stopped by here and left a comment or sent me an email. I really do love the blogging community and I appreciate every time someone takes the time to contact me! It’s so encouraging and has truly made the wedding planning experience so much more bearable! :)

I was hoping to be able to share my engagement pictures with you all, but there are some logistical problems at this point that I’m not sure how to get around. All I’ve got is my Pictage account with the images, I don’t have the digital files yet so I can’t post them directly to the blog. If you want to view them, you can click here to see, but you’ll have to ‘sign the guestbook’ by entering your email and such- I haven’t figured out how to get around that. Or if you can be patient, I will upload my faves to the blog when I receive the digital files. It’s up to you! :) I’ve also been working on Save-the-Dates (which I was hoping to get out by Monday, eek!) to show you hopefully next week. Anyway, thanks again for reading my little blog and I know that over the next few months I will have a ton of fun stuff to share with you as I start my DIY projects! :) Yay!!

Hope you all have a great weekend… I’m going to visit one of my bridesmaids! Hooray! As Jessica Lynn always says, every blog should have a pretty picture, so I’ll leave you with these amazing dresses by Butter by Nadia. Wouldn’t these be PERFECT for my maids?? Too bad they are not so budget-friendly. I did find a tutorial online of how to make them yourself… thoughts? :)

Oh and I saw those bm dresses recently and loved that they had so many shades of the same color but I think they look waaaay too long and slightly frumpy. I’ve seen the other brand (blanking on the name) and it’s just too much fabric going on for me, but I love the concept and adore the colors.

I love the dresses! The color you picked is flattering to any skin complex. Do you sew? I’d totally attempt to make them if I knew how to sew. Or maybe you can get a quote from a seamstress?

I am totally making those dresses for my bridesmaids! They are actually suuper easy, I’ve already made three for myself! They only take like, a half hour to make
