My husband and I spent nine months apart, he's in grad school, and we had no choice. For us, Skype was a godsend. Make sure you have a "date night" of sorts once a week. We'd make sure we had dinner together and watch a movie or tv show we both enjoyed once a week. Eight weeks is hard, but doable. Just take a deep breath, and remember, you're almost done!

I'm so glad to hear that someone else is in the same spot. Our wedding is the first of October (down to the wire mood) and I was hit with the bomb this past week that my fiance was offered a job and starts mid Sep. Now he isn't moving as far away as yours (3hrs from current location) and I knew this was a possiblity but wasn't expecting a respons back before the wedding. Now instead of just packing up my house to move in and putting the finish touches on the wedding planning, I'm now trying to pack up another house, find a place that is a halfway mark where I can continue working where I am at now. And now my fiance tells me he doesn't know when he is going to be able to find time to go suite shopping. Ugh…this is why I told him not to wait until the last minute as we never know what is going to happen.

Sorry, I just went off. I needed to vent and this topic I haven't shared with my friends yet as I dread hearing them complaining about me moving further away from them.

He is currently on a deployment that leaves us unable to see one another for 7 months! The time will fly by (think of it as 8 weeks and it feels more manageable) especially with last minute wedding details to attend to! Just keep busy, enjoy your time with family and friends, and it will feel amazing to be together again (and on top of that.. get married)!
