One of our favorite places is Baltimore, its pretty inexpensive and is close enough to get to DC for a day too – lots to see and it would still be warm there!

Since neither of us have ever been, we are kind of playing it by ear (which really, I think you should probably do with a honeymoon, I get schedules at work!).

Thanks for sharing your "process of elimination" with us- it's fun to read about someone who's in the same boat we are right now. We're getting married in October, which basically rules out the Caribbean because of hurricane season- BOO. All signs point to staying in the states for our honeymoon, and coming up with something romantic AND exciting is a challenge.

As a New England girl at heart, you made a fabulous choice! :)

I grew up in Portland (live in Boston now) and my fiance and I hope to move back someday. There are SO many great little places in Portland and lots of great day trips. Let me know if you want any advice on places to eat, etc. I used to work at a wine shop that is right next door to the Hilton Garden and my dad lives on one of the islands in Casco Bay.
