I use an online bank account – Capital One 360 – that let’s me set up an automatic savings draft at my chosen frequency. I’ve scheduled an auto-draft to move money from our checking to our savings right after payday so that we are making sure to save each month :) Definitely makes it easier!

The one thing we’re concerned about is just staying on top of who makes purchases when. We don’t have a huge amount of savings built up, so we will both really have to stay on top of when we’re spending money… Luckily, online banking makes it easy to check account balances, so it shouldn’t be a big problem.
