Alrighty ladies, it’s time to meet bride blogger, the fabulous Anne! This lovely lady comes to us from Charlotte, NC and is sharing with us how she’ll pull off her wedding on a $10k budget. Anne was one of my sorority sisters at the University of Tennessee (Go Vols!) so I’m excited to see her wedding come together through her guest posts! Please welcome her to BSB and thank her for sharing her time and talents with all of us!
Hey BSB readers! I’m Anne, a twenty something jewelry designer. My fiance, Andrew, and I will be tying on May 14th. Our wedding will be in Charlotte, NC where we both live and work. We are inviting between 100-125 guests, and aiming for a budget of $10,000.
The groom to be (my G2B, as I call him) and I met at the gym at our apartment complex we were both living. We soon realized we had some mutual friends, and began hanging out together. We started dating shortly there after, and have been pretty much inseparable ever since.
The week before this past Christmas we went to the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC. The day before we were supposed to leave there was a big snow storm, so we had to borrow my mother’s SUV just to get up there. We toured the Biltmore, and afterward, Andrew wanted to explore the grounds. Andrew is quite the photography buff, and very excited by all of the snow fall. We explored the grounds so Andrew could take plenty of pictures. I was patient for quite some time, but it was 30 degrees outside! I asked if we could go inside, Andrew said he just wanted to take a few more pictures with a different lens. The was not out of the ordinary so I did not think anything of it. I looked out over the mountains and when I turned around he was on his knee an asked me to marry him! Of course I said YES!
Apparently he was waiting for the right moment when there were no other people around. So, we had to wait for someone else to come by so that they could take our picture at the same spot. Needless to say we had a wonderful weekend and a great Christmas season!
I could not have asked for a better soul mate. Andrew is such a wonderful person and I am truly blessed to spend the rest of my life with him!
Andrew is very computer savvy, and I like to think of myself as awfully crafty, so be ready for plenty of DIY from us!
