helping brides create beautiful weddings without breaking the bank

As most of you know, I am planning to make my own invites, STDs, etc- in hopes of saving money and getting a more personalized feel. I’ve been busy working on some ideas for monograms to add a special touch to my paper products… and I just wanted to share them with you! Unfortunately for me, I couldn’t find a way to create a monogram without using E’s name (duh) so now I guess you all will know that my adorable fiance’s name is Eric Bishop. And that makes me Mrs. Bishop-to-be! :) Anyway, here’s the monograms! Which is your favorite?

I love the one that is second from the bottom in the left column. It’s modern and clean, but classy enough to be timeless.

Did you design it yourself? I like the monogram second from the bottom of the the right row.

i agree, the left side, second from the bottom. great colors and the fonts go together beautifully! Great job!

I like the 2nd from top on right side or 4th from top on left side. Classic and clean!

I agree too, left side second from the bottom! Cool and clean!

I agree with everyone else! The one with Bishop in yellow is my favorite. But, they all look great!

  • Guilty Secret

Wow, how creative are you?! I like the one in the bottom right.

  • budgetsavvybride

Thanks everyone for the feedback and your kind words! I did make these all myself but I draw inspiration from things I’ve seen in the past. Luckily I don’t have to make any decisions just yet but I’m just trying to get a feel for what I might want to do. I plan on sending STDs out at around the 6 month mark… do you think that’s okay or too late?

I am actually thinking the logo that I will use for STDs will be different than the one I use for my invites… with the STD being less formal and the invite being more so. Would that be confusing?

I like the monograms in the second row: second from top, and second from bottom.

I think the 6 month mark is great for sending out Save the Dates… We’ve (he) procratinated, and we’ll be sending ours out at the 3 to 4 month mark. Yeah, I know… BUT – I had wanted to send them out at the 6 month mark, so you’re right on target.

I like them all. Maybe you can use one for one aspect of your wedding and another for another aspect of your wedding. I am also making my own invites and monogram. I just need to make a decision on which one that I like the best. What program are you using?

  • Guilty Secret

We sent ours out pretty much as soon as we’d set the date, which was 9 months before the wedding. I think any sooner than that would have been a bit crazy(!) but any less than 6 months would have felt a bit late to me, so I think you’re about right with your plan.

And to your other question, I think if you want to use two different logos then go for it, but it will probably look better if you don’t mix them by using both on the actual day.

i like the last two on the left side and the 2nd from the top on the right side. i think they all have different feels though so depends on how you want to go…

    Hi Jessica,

I like them all, you have a tough decision on your hands!!! Can you send me an email and tell me what program you used to create them?

    Thank you!!!

I’m a little late to this, but I’m SO curious what font it is, that’s used for your names & date in the mongram with the big, yellow Bishop (that everyone seems to love)?? I am in LOVE with it.

    Thanks hun!

love the designs. what software did you use? i want to create some for myself:). youre so creative.

For those who have asked, I used Adobe Indesign/ Illustrator to make the monograms. You can download free 30-day trials at their website here. http://www.adobe.com/downloads/

@ misslinds- Thanks for the compliment. :) the names and wedding date are in Bickham script pro and BISHOP is in Clarendon.

Just lovely! If you are looking for custom monogram decals to put on candles, glass or anything else you might use for a centerpiece or decoration at your reception- I’d love for you to come check out my site http://www.electrasmonograms.com/ We have had brides put their new monogram on a pretty piece of stationery paper, frame it, and put it on display on the table where the guests sign in. We’ve also had couples put their new monogram or single initial on a pillar size unity candle…just to give you a few ides that won’t break the bank. Good luck!

  • Jessica

They are all so pretty! Hmm…for just initials, I like the one in the second column, second from the top. With names, I like…all of them? Haha, I guess, the first column, second from the bottom, is the one I like best.
