I’d never been to a couples shower before, but when Eric and I discussed showers, I just didn’t feel right about having a big party with gifts for just me. WE are getting married and I wanted him to be involved in the par-tay! So two of our friends got together and threw us a great couples shower!
Here’s our cute invite that they picked out! It says: ‘The wedding bells soon will ring- so we’re showering the couple with gifts that you bring! Bring something for her, bring something for him, or bring something for the two of them!’ Super cute!
They got some Baja Fresh catered in and it looked SO delicious! I was still on my cleanse at the time so I totally resisted not only the delicious food, but also the margaritas! It was tough.
Here’s the cute cups that our hostesses gave us. Eric thought it was too ‘fruity’ so he didn’t drink out of his, haha.
One of our hostesses gave us this signature board with one of our engagement photos in it for all of our guests to sign! I thought it was such a sweet gift!
The beverage station! They made regular and strawberry margaritas!
We played this funny game where E and I traded shoes so that we each had one of our own shoes, and one of the other person’s shoes. Then one of our hostesses read out questions and we had to raise the shoe of the person who we thought did that thing we were asked about. It was pretty cute and turned out to be pretty funny.
As you can see we didn’t agree on everything. Here’s a video of us actually answering some of the questions- I find it quite funny!
Then it was time to open presents!
We got alot of great gifts! I look particularly intrigued by our pizza stone in this picture.
Us with my ribbon bouquet!
Me with our two lovely hosts!
And us with the hostesses and their hubbies- who are two of E’s groomsmen!
We had such a great time and got such great gifts! I feel so blessed to have such wonderful people in our life! A bunch of us ended up staying over at the hostess’ house and playing board games until almost 2 AM! We got Cranium and Catchphrase from my MOH and her hubby and we busted it out and made a night of it. I thought the couples’ shower was so fun- much more fun than a ‘formal’ bridal shower would be- in my opinion.
