Our Wedding : Ceremony | The Budget Savvy Bride
The Budget Savvy Bride

So the weather the week of the wedding was pretty bad- specifically on Friday- all day it poured. Since the ground was so wet from the rain that week, the rental company could not do our original set up plan- which was to have a large tent over the grassy area next to the Creek House. So Tara, my DOC and Meredith from Sam Davis and Allison from Classic Party Rentals came up with a new plan on FRIDAY night.

At that point I knew that it wasn’t going to be what I had originally planned for, so I took a deep breath and I just told them to do what they thought was best. I said alot of prayers and knew that God would take care of us. As it turned out- everything was wonderful and I think it worked out just fine. We had the entire ceremony and reception under the covered porch which was originally just supposed to serve as a buffet area and bar. It was tight but I like to think it made it more ‘intimate.’

My advice to all you brides to be: just know that things are going to go wrong and plans will change (whether major or minor) but if you keep an open mind and remember the important thing is that you’re getting married- you’ll be fine. Oh… and wine helps, too. :)
