helping brides create beautiful weddings without breaking the bank

A wooded park is the stunning setting of today’s budget-savvy wedding. Chris and Kristin created a beautiful outdoor wedding and reception with a fun boho vibe. I love the greenery wreath that Kristin wore with her dress; what a perfect accessory for their venue! Their table decor is absolutely perfect. The simplicity and natural element is stunning. Enjoy today’s outdoor woodlands wedding! xoxo, Jessica

What was your budget?

We spent approximately $7000 on our wedding.

Venue: $0

Beer and wine: $800

Tent, tables, and chairs: $1200

Photographer: $1800

Dress: $1300

Flowers: $250

Sound & lights: $300

Decorations: $500

Hair and makeup: $200

Misc: $300

How many guests did you have?

We had 110 guests

What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?

We did most of the decorating and flower arrangements ourselves, aside from the bride’s bouquet. The table flowers, and bridesmaids bouquets were all flowers from people I know. My mom did a lot of the decorating herself, as she is very creative. We built the arbor, and cut all the wood pieces ourselves as well.

What was the biggest thing you did to save money?

Our venue cost us nothing because it was a family friend’s. My aunt made all the cakes for a very small cost.

What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?

Don’t stress about it. Overall, it is one day, and things that don’t go as planned are just going to be special memories.

What was your biggest splurge?

We didn’t do much splurging, but it would probably be beer and wine which was about $800.

What was your favorite detail?

My favorite detail was the location of the wedding. Being able to have the whole day outdoors was amazing! It definitely added to the feel of the day.

What is the most memorable moment of your day?

The ceremony was so memorable. It was very intimate and special. We loved having all of our family and friends with us
