Picture This- A new photobooth concept | The Budget Savvy Bride
The Budget Savvy Bride

This past weekend I was working at the local Nashville Bridal Show and I always love to check out what’s new vendor-wise and product-wise at the show. This was probably my 10th bridal show I’ve been to between my previous job and now working part time with a photographer so I’ve seen ALOT of different ideas over the years. One of the new concepts that caught my eye was called PictureThis, a new photobooth concept that combines the idea of a photobooth with a takeaway favor, guestbook, AND way of collecting your guests’ images of your big day.

Of course being the Apple lover that I am, I was super intrigued by this Touch Screen iMac- that’s not a standard feature! PictureThis has custom created this touch screen iMac and software to allow your guests to have a unique, interactive, photobooth experience. You can choose to sign the guestbook, use the photobooth, view the couple’s photo gallery or upload and share your photos from your own digital camera!

The photobooth will take four pictures of you and then you can choose whether or not you want to print them- the photos are customized with the event name and date and it prints out two copies of the photos for your guests to take home as a favor! You can choose color, black and white, or sepia tones!

The couple is able to upload their own personal photos to a website before the event to act as a slideshow on the day of the event. Your guests will be able to view the slideshows at the photobooth.

After the wedding, the couple receives a custom guest book with the guests’ messages and photos all packaged into a sweet little guest book! They can even add in photos from your wedding day if you purchase the rights to reproduce from your photographer!

Your guests will often take their own photos on their digital cameras while they are at your wedding, and using PictureThis, they can upload the images straight into your event’s gallery so you don’t have to beg your guests to email you photos they took.

It’s fast, it’s easy, and it multitasks! Gotta love it! They are also easy to transport and unobtrusive to your day like a standard booth style photobooth. I was excited to talk with Elaine of PictureThis Nashville at the bridal show and see the product in action. I really loved the idea! They have several packages available which include all of the features above as well as an attendant to help your guests if they need it and you can add additional PictureThis units if you have a large guest list to make it more accessible to everyone. There are PictureThis branches in many major cities so be sure to check it out if you’re interested!

This is so cool! I really want the feel/look of the old vintage photo booths though (not the open standing booth areas)…this is really great to collect all the memories & messages from your guests!
