What was your budget?

Our budget was no more than $4,000 and we did a great job on staying within it. It includes the following:

venue – $800 ($300 refundable deposit)

food, dinnerware and silverware – $1,200

tables and chair rentals – $200

decorations, table linens and centerpieces – $350

cake – $350

rings – $295 (Zales)

dress – $700 (David’s Bridal)

grooms tux rental – $70

How many guests did you have?

85-95

What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?

We wrote our own vows. We also incorporated my husbands favorite color into our color schemes.

What was the biggest thing you did to save money?

We cut down our guest list and we also didn’t splurge on decorations; we relied on the natural beauty of the venue.

What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?

Keep your budget close to you! There is so many ways to make all your ideas come to life if you can know how to spend your money wisely. Also, don’t stress out, in the end everything will turn out great!

What was your biggest splurge?

Even though the food was the most expensive thing, I think I splurged on my dress.

What was your favorite detail?

The accents of red flowers in my black in white theme.

What is the most memorable moment of your day?

Definitely our wedding vows.
