That is so great. It’s really wonderful that you can step back and anticipate that you will need that help the week before. Also, the way I see it – no matter what your budget is, a wedding is a lot of money. And that money is not well-spent if you are a stressball and a mess! I actually intentionally booked a venue that included a DOC – a lot of catering companies and venues offer it and I think it’s a HUGE bonus! :)

She’s great!! Like you, I just didn’t want all that responsibility to fall on my Mom, sisters, me… She’s going to co-ordinate the rehearsal, ceremony, reception, just like yours.
What really got me was just thinking “Who’s going to light all the candles for the reception? Do we light them before the ceremony and just let them burn? Or do we run around lighting them while guests mingle?” Yeah, that’s when I thought it might be a good idea to have someone manage all of that for me!
