My shoes got a lot of love on the wedding day. Check out these glamour shots of the prettiest blue slingbacks I’ve ever seen.
My personal fave.
You might recall I ordered these shoes for my bridesmaids… the same exact shoe in a neutral color. I LOVED that detail. Here’s a group shot of all our shoesies together.
A few glamour shots of THE dress. You might remember I had my dress custom designed and made by a lady in Murfreesboro named Dena Bathgate at A Special Touch.
I took Aletha’s advice and made sure to put my dress on a pretty hanger that was worthy of my fancy dress. I found that satin hanger in my mother’s closet a few days before the wedding and thought it was perfect for the job!
The pickups on my skirt!
My Bridesmaids helping me into the dress. My dress was separate from my crinoline. and I wore that full length bra that had bra hooks all the way up it, but dipped a little lower in the back. I’m a busty girl and this was the best thing I found to give me support and a little va-va-voom (ifyouknowwhati’msayin’)
I got final alterations done the week of the wedding… she had to take it in over an inch… and apparently that wasn’t quite enough because my dress was too big still. I kept looking down all night and seeing my bra hanging out! Everyone said they didn’t notice but it made me feel so self-conscious!
A little detail shot of the ring I picked up at Forever 21 the week of the wedding for like $2 or something ridiculous. I love it!
The girl with my dress in her hand is my bridesmaid, B who is getting married THIS SUNDAY!!! I can’t wait to be in her wedding and share her special day!!!
The girls trying to figure out the puzzle that is a bustle. And then I was ready to head out for portraits!
Are you ready for the recaps?! It’s gonna take a while, but the journey up until the day took a while too and you’re all still here reading so I guess you kinda wanna see the fruits of my labor, eh? The poll was pretty close 52% to 48% for budget breakdowns… so I’m gonna probably bounce back and forth over the next few weeks. Hope you enjoy these images as much as I do!
This is my first look at myself in the mirror after the fabulous Amy Lynn Larwig (now Brown!) did my makeup. I kind of look numb in this picture and I think it’s because it was all finally starting to feel real.
I still look a little out of it, eh? Oh, and I wish I had taken Jessica Lynn’s advice on wearing something cute for the day of but it was raining that morning and I was feeling a little unorganized so my ‘getting ready’ outfit wasn’t first priority.
Putting on my jewelry by the fabulous Candy’s Art on Etsy. I am still in love with my jewelry and have no regrets about being non-traditional with my accessories!
There she is- the adorable miss Amy Lynn! She did such a fantastic job on my makeup– originally I thought I would do my makeup myself to save some money, but I am so glad I didn’t! I still looked like me, but just a more beautiful version of myself. I have never felt prettier in my life!
Just part of her magic box o’ tricks.
Putting on the finishing touches… Oh yes, ladies- those eyelashes are fake. I LOVE fake eyelashes and they add so much ‘oomph’ to your look. I totally recommend them!
