Personally, it would be having a smaller extended family haha. Love them all but my guest list exploded once I invited one cousin – I had to invite all 30. Plus their partners, plus their kids. Definitely a stress trying to budget this many people when we had planned to keep it on the small side.

I wish there was an easy way to get the guest list under control. I feel like all I have been doing is trying to keep my wedding intimate–like I want–without angering either set of parents.

What would help make it less stressful is family members staying out of the conversation and leaving out their opinions.

If I could figure out who to cut from the guest list. We both have huge families and I talk to most of mine and we stay in touch.

This is an awesome giveaway! The thing that’s stressing me out the most – is making sure I have all the little details in order for the big day!

    • February 19th, 2014

I really wish I could find a budget calculator that would outline what I SHOULD spend on each item, and edit itself based on things I take off and what I actually spend to stay within the budget. Everything I find just completely takes the cost off what I don’t want and doesn’t raise the budget for the rest of the items and if I spend more on one thing it just ups the budget rather than telling me what I can/should spend on the rest. It’s so frustrating.

This is such a fun giveaway! I’m getting married in July, so I know these fun treats would come in handy :)

    • February 19th, 2014

I didn’t see the above question, so here’s my answer: Having someone to help me with some of the smaller details would help me out in a huge way! My bridesmaids are all really busy with their own lives, and I feel badly asking anyone else. It would be so fantastic to have someone come to me unprompted and say, “Let me help you make those chalkboard table numbers, or the hotel guest gift bags, or anything else you might need” :)

I think the wedding planning process would be a little less stressful if I could stop feeling guilty for having a small wedding where everyone will be traveling from out of town! I’m stressing out worrying about all of my guests potential stresses!

The one thing that would make things less stressful, hmm.. a wedding coordinator? Wish I had someone to deal with a non-communicative vendor!

The one thing that would make it less stressful for me would be if I were able to stop agonizing over little decisions, like the invitation design or website platform.

    • February 19th, 2014

The thing that stresses me out the most is the balance of keeping the wedding small and deciding who not to invite.

Though I love everyone, having smaller families on both sides would ease some of the planning stress. Just having our immediate families and parents’ siblings with cousins comes out to 100 people.

    • Awilda
    • February 19th, 2014

Something that would make wedding planning less stressful is if people stop pushing us with the guest list. We saved our budgeted money up, and are not willing to spend over our set amount. I wish they would respect this.

    • February 19th, 2014

Choosing the right venue oh and the date! But…. I want an out door wedding at a family farm offered to me by family friends but I am worried about the cost of rentals and if it’s really worth the almost free location. I want to keep my budget really small but I also want every one to be happy with the party that I invite. Good thing I have a year or two to plan!

More time, I’m working two jobs while I get my massage career off the ground, so my fiance and I rarely see one another and when we do, wedding planning is not big on our list, luckily, it’s going to be a small local wedding

There are so many choices for literally every aspect of a wedding to choose from, and all of that can actually be overwhelming! Having more patience and of course money would help ease the stress!

    • February 20th, 2014

Something that would ho my stress is being able to pay for the wedding without pulling out any loans or credit cards! :)

    • Laura
    • February 20th, 2014

I wish I would’ve had a detailed budget guide from the start. I had no idea how much things cost and very few vendors post prices on their websites. It’s so much work to guess who is going to be an affordable vendor option, then explain to each one all the details of your wedding, and in the end some of them are way out of your price range anyway! It would be nice to have expectations such as a bridal bouquet could cost from $150-$400, a DJ could cost from $350-$1,200, etc.

I think my wedding planning would be a lot less stressful if I didn’t care so much about incorporating what will make my family happy with what makes me happy.

    • KacieG
    • February 20th, 2014

I think it would be easier if I didn’t have to worry about two completely different places for the wedding and reception. My family is in Texas and doesn’t travel well, so we are having a small wedding ceremony there. However, my fiancee’s family and I live in Minnesota and so do our friends, so we will be having our reception back here in Minnesota after the wedding. It just feels like planning two totally different events, not even including the honeymoon! I just feel very stretched both physically, mentally, and economically.

    • February 20th, 2014

Having a little elf on my shoulder throughout the day telling me not to worry about “wedding stuff” when I can’t actually do anything about it would be so helpful! I find myself focusing on the wedding when I need to be focusing on work!

I am thoroughly enjoying the wedding planning process. The only thing that has me stressing out is the guest list! I need to keep it at a certain number for budget purposes, but don’t want to leave people out! So, really, the biggest help would be winning a bridal lottery!

For me the most stressful thing is making sure I don’t miss something, all the check lists I have used/found only include the big things, dress, place, honeymoon, etc. I need one that has EVERYTHING in it, unity sand, cake cutter, centerpieces, wedding faovors, isle runner etc. I am never sure if I’m getting everything I need!

In all honesty, the guest count has been the biggest headache since day one. Having a tight budget has created more stress in who we can invite. I wish I had a DIY fairy to help cut costs to be able to include all of our family and friends in our celebration. One can dream. :)

I am already stressed and I’ve only been engaged for two weeks! Lol! My biggest problem is being so indecisive! I have three totally different theme ideas and have no clue as to what colors I want for the biggest day of my life! I think having a wedding planner would be oh so helpful, but I’m a total cheapo. I guess my fiancé will have to be dubbed executive decision maker!
