Right now I’m leaning toward jewelry. My colors are black, white, and teal, and I’ve seen pearls in all those colors, but turquoise might also be an option… This is definitely a tough thing to figure out for me though!

I’m making each of my bridesmaids a Blurb book with pictures honoring our years of friendship, with a nice letter written from me on the inside of each of them!

  1. So awesome that you’re hosting a contest!
I’m planning on getting my maids something they can use on the day of and after the wedding as well!
A Coach Wristlet in green (My wedding colors are candy apple red, luscious grape green & fresh linen white), filled with a silver purse mirror and double happiness necklace & earrings. Double Happiness is a lucky wedding symbol that I will carry throughout our wedding in DIY invites, etc.
Here’s the link to a Polyvore Inspiration Board: http://www.polyvore.com/maids/set?id=7770168

And the link to my blog linking to this contest!

    Best of Luck all!

  2. I am also making my girls a book, but using inkubook. My bridesmaids are my sister and my two cousins. We grew up together like sisters, and to this day remain the best of friends. Mine is the third wedding of the 4 musketeers, and the two previous weddings also had the other 3 musketeers as bridesmaids, so of course we are excited to do it again! The book is called “The 4 Musketeers… a story of how 4 girls became sisters”. It features photos right from our older sisters holding us as babies, to the 4 of us holding the two new nephews we have welcomed this past year. The second part of my gift will be a ring from etsy seller Jewels of Luxury… signifying our timeless friendship!

I am working on a collection of things that remind me of them – prints by their favorite photographers, teacups, and earrings. I’m not sure what I’ll end up with, but many of the items I’ve seen are from Etsy and are fantastic.

  3. I love the idea of my bridesmaids still having a small memento from my wedding in 20 years, and so I’m giving each of them things that I hope will last nearly as long as our friendship! They will receive a small topiary to keep in their apartments/home, delicate gold necklaces that have their initials on them, and a silly picture of the two of us together in funky frames that match each of their personalities. I had hoped to give them each an iPod with our favorite 80s tunes and silly photos, but that just wasn’t in my budget. However, if I win the camera I may be able to take more funny photos to give to them!

  4. That is an awesome contest. Fro the bridesmaids, I am giving each a scrapbook with pictures of us throughout the years and a question sayign will you be my bridesmaid? I left blank pages so we can document the wedding process- a page for the bridal shower, a page for the bachelorette party, etc. I already gave it to a few girlw when I asked and have a few more to go.

That is an ongoing gift, since we will be scrapbooking throughout the wedding process. I am havign a beach themed wedding, so each girl will get a nautical robe to get ready in on the day of the wedding, earrings, a beach bag and flip flops.

I’m giving my bridesmaids monogrammed makeup cases with jewelry for the wedding and….something else. I’m going to have to scan Etsy and see if I find things I like.

  5. I am making each of my girls black poppies w/ white pearl centers for their hair accessories. And I am also making black swarovski briolette pendant necklaces to match. I was so inspired by items I found while searching the web but the prices were always out of my budget – so I decided to do everything myself. Not only can I make everything for WAY WAY WAY cheaper than buying them, but I think a handmade item adds something extra special.

  6. My mother will be hand making Swarovski crystal/beaded jewelry (ring, necklace, earrings) to match the dresses. :)

  7. My maids will be receiving custom jewelry from Etsy (love it!) and the classic monogrammed totes/cosmetic bags. I haven’t decided between the bags yet. I’ll be adding a link to this contest today on http://planningsarahelizabeth.blogspot.com

I’m giving my bridesmaids earring in a small silver jewelry box that has their initials monogrammed into them.

I love the memory book idea! Wish I’d heard of that a month ago!!

  8. I bought my girls their jewelry, which I realize is not very original.

    BUT…

I had monogrammed and personalized necklaces hand-made for each of them by a jewelry designer in Scotland (ordered off Etsy!), so they are very special and truly unique. I can’t wait to give them to them!!

My lovelies are getting embroidered bags from LandsEnd with stress-relieving shower goodies from Bath & Body Works, journals in our wedding colors, and jewelery made by FI’s aunt. I think that’s all, I can’t remember. I have the hardest time NOT buying things to put in their bags!

  9. I’m getting them a lot of little gifts. I’m not a 100% sure on everything right now because I haven’t picked my entire bridal party, but here’s what I think I’ve decided on.

I’m taking my MOH to get a mani and pedi the day before the wedding for being fantabulous.

I’m getting each girl a bag of some sort and filling it with a bunch of stuff, including homemade pearl jewelry to wear at the wedding, a pair of flip-flops, and then I’m not sure what else. I can’t wait to read the rest of the comments for ideas.

I really want to get my maids necklaces from Blend Creations (http://www.blendcreations.com/). I generally walk the line between traditional and modern style, so I’m giving the traditional gift of jewelry, but the jewelry itself will be modern. I’m going to have a tough time deciding between the pressed flowers, the Japanese washi paper, and their “torus” necklaces, though! So pretty! I’m also planning on making gift baskets with organic soaps and bath salts, so they can unwind afterwards. :)

  10. GREAT contest! i’m giving my bridemaids the 5 Year Diary by Tamara Shopsin with a handwritten note along with handmade clutches from etsy… check out the top-right corner of my blog to see me write about your contest… thanks!

okay so technically i’m not engaged but he did ask me to draw a picture of the ring i want so i’ve given myself permission to read your blog… and i want to make fabric flowers for the centerpieces at my (as of yet) fictional wedding and then make fabric flower brooches for my bridesmaids… a girl can dream, right?

    • Jessica
    • April 6th, 2009

I since my bridesmaids either just graduated college or are about to, I got each an earring/necklace set that would be nice for dressing up. I got small clutches made from Etsy in different patterns for each. I’ll put a handwritten note in each thanking them for being a part of our special day.

  11. Oooh, I neeeeed this!

I’m giving my bridesmaids all really cute yoga mats, herbal tea, flip flops, shower gel, and body butter. I’m putting each set of gifts in a khaki colored cotton bag that I am going to personalize with the girl’s name and some other cute embellishments. I still have to work this part out, I’m thinking I’ll embroider them?

My maid-of-honor (and only bridesmaid) will be receiving a pair of silver sequin converse allstars to dance in at the reception. I’ll be wearing a matching pair in blue.

She’s SUPER anti dresses, and so the fact that she’s willing to wear one at all is more than enough. I thought that I’d give her both something she’d want to wear after the wedding, and an opportunity to at least keep her feet from hurting!

  12. I’m still quite a ways out from my wedding, but I’ll probably give the girls necklaces that they can wear at the ceremony. Since all of my bridesmaids are out of town, though and I’m seeing them for the first time since getting engaged in a few days, I also made them “get ready to be a rockstar bridesmaid” bags. I figured I would have taken them out to lunch to ask them to stand with me if they lived nearby, so a few extra dollars wouldn’t hurt.

I had monogrammed totes made for all three and put little note pads and cards inside (thank you, dollar aisle at Target!). My bags were made by Nichols 61 (http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5401756).

My blog is just starting out, but I posted about this contest!

I bought personalized tote bags online, then filled them with jewelry that I handmade (tedious, but worth it!), Victoria’s Secret sweatpants and a tank top to get ready in, monogrammed pocket-tissue packets, and a handwritten thank-you card.

Hi! Awesome Herve Chapelier bags that I found on ebay for a great price! Plus, I’m going to get them embroidered and fill them will all of my girls favorite things (little things like sour patch kids, rosebud salve, etc).

I have NO IDEA what I’m getting them! I just sent out my “Will You…” cards last week!! (wedding isn’t till 2010) I’m definitely thinking something unique for all of them though…and will likely hit up Etsy for some ideas!

I’m going to give my bridesmaids these cute little keepsake boxes from Things Remembered. I can’t decide between the heart or the fortune cookie. On the inside, I’m going to put Thanks for being a part of my special day – or something like that!! Here’s a link if you’re interested: http://www.thingsremembered.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/TRproduct_10001_9951_999610393_

  13. what a fabulous contest!

i’m getting my bridesmaid several things:
    1. havaianas flip flops to change into for the reception so they can dance the night away!
    2. breakfast at tiffany’s DVD or book (depending on if they already own the dvd). tiffany blue is a wedding color, and since i couldn’t afford an actual gift from tiffany & co, i’m getting a little creative. :)
    3. monogrammed aprons. i love to cook, and several of my girls do too. they’ll be brown with white polka dots with a tiffany blue trim and their monogram on a little pocket. :)
    4. a popcorn ball from hillsboro chocolate company in nashville. we’re having a popcorn bar at the wedding, and i thought it would be a fun touch. the boys will be getting these too as a part of their gifts.

  14. also…
i posted your contest on my blog!
    the2smiths.blogspot.com
    thanks!

  15. My girls are getting
    1) a monogrammed tote bag
    2) a monogrammed bath robe
    3) a luggage tag in her favorite color
    4) shoe inserts for their shoes
    5) and shoes to wear!

  16. My plan so far is to get them each a fabulous scarf/wrap to wear with their dresses (and after the wedding!). My wedding is in October so it’ll definitely be chilly. Plus, I know both my girls love accessorizing with scarves so this is something that they can use during the day and after the wedding. Plus, it’ll be nice for them to have scarves that aren’t just from H&M!

I was planning on giving gift certificates to their favorite shops. I figured that was easiest thing.

    • April 6th, 2009

I had so much fun getting gifts for my favorite girls. I got them each a clutch from FIAZCO on Etsy, who was wonderful to work with (I have to add, though, that I also got my mom a clutch from UpStyle, who was just as wonderful… I love Etsy!). I wanted to get them designs that were unique to their personalities, so I didn’t try to match them to my wedding colors or anything. Inside there will be a pair of casual earrings from Etsy’s MDsparks, again unique to each girl. I got a beautiful necklace from DevineRose (did I mention that I love Etsy??)for my MOH that matches her earrings. Her birthday is two days after our wedding, so I wanted to spoil her a little. I also added a bottle of Halo Effect from Origins because it’s my favorite make-up product, and I think Origins has good business practices (check out their new recycling program: http://www.origins.com/about/index.tmpl?page=recycle&cm_sp=Refresh-_-03-31-09%20Homepage%20Refresh-_-Return%20to%20Origins%20Recycling%20Program), so I’m happy to support them. And then, of course, I will also include a note for each girl, reminding her of why I love her and feel lucky to have her in my life.

    • elana
    • April 6th, 2009

awesome! im not sure yet but im thinking of getting each of my bridesmaids some kind of jewelry from etsy that matches their personalities (they’re all so different!) and then maybe something that they’d all like–perhaps a gorgeous pashmina?

  17. I’m not sure I qualify since I’m not having the traditional bridal party, but only my 9-year-old niece as our flower girl. However, I purchased a locket from etsy.com and am planning on putting the images of my grandmothers (her great-grandmothers, both deceased) on each side, with a card/letter with it describing how important both of these women have been in my life and my memories of them. She (my niece) met and remembers each of them and I wanted to do something special for her, in honor of the strong women in our lives.

    • Tenille
    • April 6th, 2009

I’m using my theme (damask) in al their gifts, but buying things they would like or use again. My mom – a red damask pashmina. My MoH (1) – a grey purse with a hot pink damask stencil on it. My bm – a purple damask traveling set. I have nine bridesmaids, so this has been a fun and long journey, finding perfect gifts for all of them.

    • Abby
    • April 6th, 2009

Haven’t decided yet, but one part of the gift will definitely be letting them wear whatever they want — and then I’m thinking etsy clutches or bright umbrellas and big sunglasses to tie their different looks together and provide keepsakes from the wedding.

    • Jessica
    • April 6th, 2009

I’ve never won a contest in my life and I don’t have my own blog, but I’m going for it anyway! :)

All three of my bridesmaids are wine fanatics. I wanted to get them something they would enjoy and appreciate for a long time, so the week before the wedding, I’m going to have a case of each girl’s favorite wine shipped to their house. That way they’ll be able to enjoy the gift for months and it won’t be something they have to lug home. A girl can never have enough of her favorite wine!

    • April 6th, 2009

I created a cute bag of goodies for my Maid of Honor. She got a cute yellow luggage tag, an aluminum water bottle, Optimism shower gel, yellow flip flops and black flip flops, 2 candle holders with candles, lemon lip gloss, and lemon antibacterial soap. I’m hoping to put it all in a cute bag with her name on it.

  18. This is one place where I definitely have to be aware of my budget! With 6 girls, everything I do can get out of hand quickly, but that camera would help capture all of the fun!

I am in the process of making each girl a necklace. They will all be white pearls with black beads, but the blacks are all different. I’m looking at having girls from 18-28 in my wedding, so I have a lot of different “needs” that I want to meet!

I am hoping that I can also make each girl a blanket. I recently learned to crochet, and I think it would be awesome! Some of the girls will have young babies, so I would make them a blanket for the baby or when they are out and about. I would make the other girls one big enough to curl up in!

I definitely want to make sure that all of the girls get copies of pictures that they care about, so I’m hoping to make each a slideshow after the wedding and set it to music. It’ll be a nice surprise a few months later!

I haven’t decided what else to get them – as long as all of my projects truly stay as minimal as they are right now, I’ll be able to splurge on some other fun things!

  19. I just posted in my blog http://disneyprincessc.blogspot.com

For starters I wrote post found here: http://mismikadodowntheaisle.wordpress.com/2009/04/07/very-sweet-contest/

So I’m a crafty diy bride and I really want to make my ladies something… currently I’m planning on making them some necklaces like these

My mother is also a very skilled seamstress (she’s doing all my dress alterations and I thoroughly trust her b/c she’s made like 8 wedding dresses already)so I’m thinking of working with her to create some cute lacey bolero jackets to tie the girls dresses all together (they each will have their own style)…

My plan ultimately is to give them several little things created from the heart to show them my love and appreciation…

    • Amanda
    • April 6th, 2009

My wedding has a $4,000 budget, so I’ve had to think of ways to thank my girls without breaking the bank! I found some chains on sale at Aeropostale and some really great pearl bird’s nest pendants on Etsy, so for $15 each girl is going to get a really fabulous necklace! Then I’m going to go to Michael’s and get some inexpensive frames to decorate and personalize for each girl! Sure would be great to have this camera to take some new pics with them, hehe! :)

  20. Emailing you my gift so my girls don’t find out :) And I’m linking to you in my blog { www.jessicaholt.blogspot.com }Got some other great ideas from these comments!

    • April 6th, 2009

If any of my bridesmaids are reading this you better LOOK AWAY NOW! ALL 9 of you!

The plan as of now is to make them all clutches from a pattern I found on ETSY via Weddingbee. Colors: Brown, Champagne, and a dark pink accent…once we pick out dresses I will be able to pick out a material that matches each girl’s personality. When it comes to weddings, it can be expensive just to BE a bridesmaid! Since I have so many BM’s of all different ages, I am hoping this will ease a lil bit of the pricey-ness that is associated with being a dedicated attendant. And, I want to stuff the clutches with little necessities for the day…sunscreen, lip gloss, mirror, tissues, backup batteries for their cameras, etc etc.

    • krissy
    • April 7th, 2009

i’m planning to make shadowboxes with each girl’s name sewn onto the canvas background and embellished with beads that look like their personalities. it’s hard to explain, but i’m really excited about it!

    • Emily R
    • April 7th, 2009

I got my maids the most gorgeous satin clutches from J. Crew in each of the four shades that were available. I don’t expect them to use the clutches the day of the wedding (although they can if they want to!), but I know that they’ll get a lot of mileage out of those beauties. I’m probably going to put some fun emergency items in the clutches — like foot pedals (for sore dancing feet!) and maybe some MAC lipgloss.

Hi! What a great giveaway!!! I got my girls each a jewelry set custome made (necklace and earrings) I love etsy! And I am giving them a lotion body wash set and well as getting their make up done the day of. If I win this camera I will give it to my MOH she just lost heres on vacatioN!!!

    • April 7th, 2009

I am giving my bridesmaid a little weekend survival kit- I ordered monogrammed reusable grocery bags in my wedding colors for $5 on etsy. I am going to put a shawl for the ceremony, flip flops for the reception along with a couple bottles of water, snacks, hair spray and clips, breathe freshner and gum, a lint roller, kleenex, ect. I am toying with the idea of a disposable camera so they can catch some moments…

    • April 7th, 2009

What a great contest! I’m giving my bridesmaids Juicy Couture terry cloth dresses. They’re the strapless kind that are easy to get in and out of. I’m getting a white one and all of the girls are getting Kelly Green (my signature wedding color). The best part about these is that we can all wear them together as we’re getting ready and the pictures will be awesome!

    • Lucy
    • April 7th, 2009

Still not totally sure and I’m down to about 80 days!!! I’m thinking a couple things to use the day of, like earrings and maybe a clutch but I wanted to do something really creative too. I’m going to read other’s comments and see if anything strikes me!

    • Louise
    • April 7th, 2009

I’ve got a few thoughts at this point. I’m for sure giving my Maid (there’s only one!) a reusable wrist corsage. I made it a la all the Etsy style hair flowers that are so vogue right now. Martha Stewart weddings also had a similar post adding beautiful decorative elastic to create the corsage. She can use hers as a corsage later in the wedding, as a pin or hair clip afterward.

I also have a great “recipe” for a wonderful lotion that I will whip up and put in a decorative jar.
I also just read a fabulous recipe fora sugar body scrub in the last Whole Foods in-store coupon flier. I think I can add that to the mix as well. I swear Jessica, I might just start my own blog! :)

My bridesmaids are my sisters. For my wedding, I will be wearing my late grandmother’s gold and pearl necklace. Since we all can’t inherit this beautiful reminder of my grandmother, I’m getting reproductions made for my sisters (and myself, since the necklace belongs to my aunt). This way we can all “inherit” a lovely piece of our family tradition.

We only a groomsman/bestman. Since it jewelry for the BMs, will get some bling for the guy (fiance’s brother). We are going to have some custom initial cufflinks made for the tuxes.

    • April 7th, 2009

Considering that my camera just broke, winning this contest would be a dream come true. I’m a picture fanatic, but since the engagement I haven’t had much of an opportunity to splurge on a new camera. Your blog brightens my day each time I get to check back in, keep up the good work!

I’ve purchased pink robes to match the pink in the flowers that I’m using in their bouquets, and am having them monogrammed with their initials. I’m also having a local jewelry designer make their earrings to correspond with each of their individual personalities. The inside of their thank you notes have the first picture we ever took together and I use the photo to explain how much their friendship has meant to me.

Good luck with your upcoming wedding!

  21. I plan to gift my maids hand-made jewelry, that I hope, but won’t require that they’ll wear at the wedding. I create jewelry as a second source of income (on the good days it provides enough to grab a soda on the way home, LOL) and as a great stress reliever. Both of my maids are indie girls who shop on Etsy or make their own any time they can so, even though some consider it an over-done gift, I plan to stick with the jewelry! I’m also making a donation on their behalf to To Write Love on Her Arms (TWLOHA.com) because it is a cause that has touched all of our lives in many ways.

My cousin makes jewerly so I’m having her string three strand pearl choker necklaces for my BMs and matching pearl studs. In addition to that I’m making each girl a homemade card and attaching it to a mini suitcase BM survival kit. The kit will have all of the things we just might need that day (hair spray, mints, sewing kit, safety pins, snacks, tide wipes, treats, etc). I also bought blush colored lipstick holders to hold each girls lipstick for the day (that I’m buying when we get our makeup done). After the wedding, I’m mailing them mini photo albums of pics from the wedding.

I am going to be putting together a bridal survival kit (found it here: http://weddingcabaret.blogspot.com/2009/04/diy-bridal-party-survival-kit.html as well as a goodie bag personalizing each one with stationary, candles, lotions, etc.

  22. I need a new camera so bad! I love love love photography, but my camera just isn’t up to par :(

I’m putting together a mixture of things for the girls. I just bought 6 multi-colored canvas totes and 5 white t-shirts. I’m going to decorate the bags, and on the Tshirts, I’ll put their name on the front of the shirt and “Bridesmaid” on the back! I’m also going to fill the bag with “emergency kit” stuff like bandaids, tampons, shine-away powder, deoderant and stuff like that. I also got them matching pearl necklace and earring sets.

    http://hannahnoelh.blogspot.com/2009/04/blog-post.html

  23. I am giving my bridesmaids jewelry to wear on the day of (both earrings and a necklace) and also a different colored monogrammed makeup bag with their first initial :) I hope they like them :)

  24. I think that it is a very interesting and amusing article. Practically all its main points are true.

My wedding is about a year away, but I have already come up with several things I want to get my girls. We all fell in love with the earrings Sarah Jessica Parker is wearing in the Lovely perfume ad, and I found them! Ok, not them, but a VERY good replica of them, http://www.robertachiarella.com/cgi-local/SoftCart.exe/online-store/scstore/products/c03098f.html?L+scstore+ncwf3953ff97e297+1241664487 Also, I plan to get them fake eyelashes and lip plumping gloss so that as Nene from the Real Housewives of Atlanta says, “their eyes will be poppin and their lips bustin”

We’ll be having a destination wedding in Hawaii. We are of Polynesian descent and so our wedding will be infused with details that exude the Polynesian spirit. This is why we’ll be giving our bridesmaids (my sister and two best friends) Maori Jade Koru pendants. The koru is the Māori name given to the new unfurling fern frond and symbolizes new life, growth, strength and peace. It is an integral symbol in Māori carving and tattoos. When someone gives a pendant to someone else, it is the custom that they wear it for a time so that part of their spirit is given as well.

Yes- they mean that much to us that we would share our spirit and our life-blood with them.

As you may know most of us are on a strict budget. Being that I’m the type of person who loves to give gifts for any reason, I knew I couldn’t go over my limit. A friend had introduced to the web site called Slickdeals. The site offers Hot Deals, Freebies, Coupons, and etc. A month ago a user had posted a site that was selling silver 925 bracelets for $1.50. I was curious and thought it would be a spam. I read all the comments from people who had purchased them a year ago or so and gave it a four star out of 5. I think this site offers clearance items that just needs to sell out. I thought if I order $20.00 worth of it, it wouldn’t hurt me. My shipment arrived almost a month and half later and the bracelets turned out to be beautiful.
My plans is to find a cute box to put the bracelet in. Also my friends and I love to drink wine and I thought of buying the wines at Trader Joes or World Market and put a basket together.
All it takes is to have patience and be creative. The gift could always turned out to look like you spend lots of dinero. :)

I am planning on giving them a necklace and earring set to go along with the bridesmaid dresses. I also hope to treat them to pedicures the day of the wedding!

  25. I’m … not the most materialistic person in the world, so I’m going with Kiva.org gift certificates. For the unwary, kiva.org is a microlending non-profit who works with NGO’s all over the world to make small loans to entrepreneurs in poverty-stricken areas. Think: $300 to someone in Peru to breed pigs, or whatever. You don’t loan the whole amount, you loan as little as $25, and when they’ve collected the entire amount, the loan is given. And, over the next set number of months (usually 6-12) the receiver of the loan slowly pays it back. You can cash out at that point, or (preferred!) re-loan it to someone else.

It’s a seriously awesome way of helping to end poverty, if you ask me. :)

And, just so there’s something a little more tangible, I’m hoping to make some small magnets or earrings or something out of polymer clay to go with it. :)

  26. Mine is a secret in real life, but the blogosphere is safe right?

My destination wedding will take place on a mountaintop in northern Arizona. I’ll be creating (by hand!) small woodblock prints of the San Francisco Peaks, the mountain our ceremony and party will take place, and will frame them for my girls. I’m big on handmade creations and I think this will be a great wall reminder of our destination celebration. A real lil treasure.

    But shhhhhhhhhhhhh! Don’t tell!

I’m giving my bridesmaids an assortment of stuff! My married maid is getting an apron to help break in her new house, my college aid maid is getting stationary to write home on, and my other maids are getting bags of goodies! My gifts are as different as my girls!

Great giveaway! I plan to make them cute monogrammed tote bags (DIY of course) filled with personalized goodies that remind me of each girl…I plan to make some cute monogrammed note cards and matching envelopes for all of them though!

I’ve been scouring etsy (etsy.com) for a unique clutch that fits the style and personality of each one of my bridesmaids! I’m not focusing on it matching my wedding colors, because I want to make sure it reflects each bridesmaid, and is something they will want to use again and again. It’s a personal gift that thanks my girls for being a part of my special day. I also plan to give them some personalized stationery with their name and a monogram on it that resembles my handmade wedding stationery. I’m all about the DIY!

I’ve never been a big fan of the unity candle/sand idea. So instead my fiance and I will be planting a “unity” lemon tree during our ceremony. In keeping with this, I’m giving my bridesmaids their own lemon tree saplings. We’re from Texas and sweet tea just isn’t right without slices of lemon. This way, no matter how far we part we’ll always be able to sip some sweet tea and savor the memories!

  27. I gave my bridesmaids personalized notecards from the same etsy seller who made our invites, green earrings and pashimas for the wedding day, bath and body lotions in cherry blossom (which was all over our wedding lol), fun frames from target and some cute fruit shaped candles.

ps. i could sooo use a camera, my LCD screen just got smashed lol.

  28. I’m buying flip-flops for our dancing reception, jewelry to wear at the wedding. and baggu bags because they are just so cute.

I’m also hoping to make a small scrapbook of pictures with a CD tucked in the back–fingers crossed I have enough time.

I’m also planning to fill the baggu bags with a few of their favorite things, like lip gloss, candy, and maybe a trashy novel or two just for fun :)

  29. I got a gorgeous antique filigree locket off of etsy that the seller had filled in with colored resin, so i thought i might get my bridesmaids each a custom locket to match their dresses and put a photo of us inside. at $55/per, that’s not so bad!

Well, in addition to buying their Indian outfits, I’m also going to present them with jewelry at my henna party. I also plan to make sure that our photographers get photos of us together so that I can gift them the photos in beautiful frames after the wedding.

I bought tote bags that I have filled (so far) with compact mirrors, matching tank tops and pants, and flip flops. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  30. I gave them each coach clutches and some necessity stuff like the jewelry for the wedding, flip flops, shawl, and some other little trinkets that involved wine (our wedding was at a vineyard).

  31. Hi, awesome contest! I havent gotten that far ahead yet (I dont even have a date yet!), but I am thinking about giving my maids pearl earrings and a monogrammed bag of some sort.

Great contest! I want my BMs’ gifts to be as personal as possible, so I’m working on gathering/making a few different things that remind me of them or relate to their professions or hobbies. For some sort of unity, I’ll bundle it all up in a cute tote of sorts…though I haven’t got that far yet!

I just bought the materials to make my bridesmaids necklaces with blue beads that match their dresses and a seashell charm to go with our semi-beach theme. To go along with the theme and celebrate the start of summer, I am also getting them monogrammed tote/beach bags and filling them with beach towels, flip flops, sunscreen, and any other fun beach stuff I can think of.

I am leaning toward writing each of my bridesmaids a poem because writing is my favorite expressive art form, and what better time to use it to tell my girls what they mean to me than this occasion!

  33. I am giving my girls different necklaces and matching earrings to wear… as well as their shoes. I also put together individual straw beach bags with goodies, like the Anthro monogram pocket mirror and little stuff.
