helping brides create beautiful weddings without breaking the bank

I hadn’t really given alot of thought to what I wanted my wedding cake to look like. Whenever I browse my many subscriptions in my Google Reader, I always grab photos of things I like and put them into separate files in my ‘wedding inspiration’ folder on my desktop. Well, I opened my ‘cakes’ folder today and saw that it seems that I do have a style in mind! Simple, simple, simple! Check out these lovely cakes… of course mine will be at most 3 layers, but I do enjoy the textures of these examples- one thing I know for sure is we want BUTTERCREAM frosting… because… you know.. it actually tastes good. And that’s what’s most important to me. :)

    Hi! Love the blog…

To save money on the cake, add fresh flowers and not “sugar” flowers – if that is the route you go. Plus, a lot of my friends had their cakes done at the local grocery store and they turned out amazing and delicious. Plus, they will design anything you like.

Any cake you want can have buttercream, however, all of your “Inspiration Cakes” are all fondant covered. If you want A
very smooth and professional looking cake it will most likely be covered in fondant.
