I started painting years ago for interior designers, celebrity and private clients. My work has been published in several hardbacks, Southern Accents, Veranda, Atlanta Homes and Lifestyles, and multiple other publishing's. I can't think of a better way to start my morning then creating a new piece of art. I love the simple things in life and art is a way to capture those moments.
Kenzies Cottage is named after my sweet little granddaughter. I started teaching her art when she was two. I have always worked with oils and impasto doing fine art but watercolors became a new love after working with Kenzie. She still spends hours with me doing watercolors and those are such special moments!
I am also a silversmith so I decided to add a line of botanical jewelry with the flowers I paint daily. Most of my jewelry pieces are done in fine metals and resins. I have also added some pieces in alloy metals that are less expensive for cute gifts.
I love my Etsy shop because it allows me to work with so many subject matters and mediums. Oils and watercolor are my main mediums. I am currently working on a line of original watercolors on canvas. This is a exciting being able to offer my customers watercolors on canvas without having to frame them. I look forward to turning on my computer in the morning with a cup of coffee and see that I have one more painting that has found a home. I really enjoy working with my customers on a custom piece and truly enjoy getting to know the person behind the screen. The process of creating a customers vision makes me grow as a artist.
