Black, White and Gray Wedding
Today’s black, white and gray wedding is an example of the power of DIY! Sandra and Christian cast a vision for their wedding and with the the help of family and friends, transformed Sandra’s dad’s shop into a dreamy reception venue. I love the combination of birch and silver accents. Happy almost New Year, y’all!!! xoxo, Jessica

How many guests did you have?
We had 158 guests.
What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?
I am personally not very creative but my sister is and she helped bring my dream to life! She made the bridesmaids bouquets, groomsmen’s boutonnieres, and so much more! We used a lot of tree branches and trees for most of our decorating, which is a look I have always loved!
What was the biggest thing you did to save money?
To save money we held our reception at my parents shop, did the decorating ourselves and incorporated a lot of DIY details!
What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?
Decide what means the most to the two of you and spend your money on those things. Do what makes you happy, not what other people want you to do; it is your special day! Also, nobody will know/remember if you forget something, so don’t stress and enjoy the day!
What was your biggest splurge?
The caterer! We wanted to have awesome food and someone who took care of our guests!
What was your favorite detail?
I loved how we were able to take pieces from nature and bring it inside. It made it feel like we weren’t even in a shop!
What is the most memorable moment of your day?
Seeing how many people were there to celebrate the day with us! It made me feel so loved and supported!
