Being that my fiancé is currently in law school, I tried to handle a majority of the tasks involved with wedding planning. However, I did ask if he would plan the honeymoon and find our DJ (he actually may have volunteered for these tasks!). Vacations and music are definitely more up his alley (although I enjoy both!), so this was an easy decision for us to make – to allow him to choose our DJ.
The nice thing about my fiancé taking on these tasks (besides the fact that I didn’t have to do them!) is that I knew he would put in a lot of research and wouldn’t settle until he got exactly what we wanted for a great price — There was no doubt in my mind he would be very thorough when choosing our DJ. He used Wedding Wire and The Knot, as his go-to when searching for DJ’s and came up with a list of about 3 or 4 that had high ratings, were reasonably priced, and seemed like they would be fun to work with.
When contacting the different companies, my fiancé wanted someone who would respond quickly and give us the details we needed without being vague on their services and prices. He immediately got a response from Frank Carbone, the owner and DJ of CWDJ Entertainment. Frank answered my fiancé’s questions and was upfront with his services prior to us ever meeting him. We seemed to find that other DJ companies wanted to meet with you before giving you information; although some people are comfortable with that approach, we were not.
Our next step was to set-up a meeting with Frank to discuss the possibility of him being the DJ for our wedding. Upon meeting Frank, the conversation was easy flowing and he was able to answer any questions we had. The great thing about CWDJ Entertainment is that you meet with the person who will actually be the DJ at your wedding – not just a sales person trying to get you to sign a contract with them.
After talking with Frank for about a half hour, we knew we wanted him to be our DJ, and we signed the contract that day. He has made the entire process very easy for us, and he even agreed to do a site walk-through as he’s never DJ’d at All Saints Chapel. He has definitely gone above and beyond, and we are excited to have him as our wedding DJ.
