I got a call Monday evening from Dena at A Special Touch saying that she was worried that I wasn't totally happy with my fitting that morning and had worked dilligently all day to fix the things we'd discussed. She said she didn't want me to be worrying about my dress when I have such bigger things to worry about at the moment (such as where the heck we're going to have the wedding). She asked if I could come in on Tuesday (the very next day!!) because she just wanted to know that I was happy with my custom dress and didn't want me worrying about it until Thursday! Isn't she the sweetest? Seriously… why can't all vendors be so courteous and concerned about the client's happiness??? I love Dena.
So I got to go in the very next day to try on my dress again- and she had changed ALOT since the previous morning when I'd tried it on. She took in the sides so it actually fit to my body and wasn't falling off! She removed the other bust area and started a new one with more fabric up top to cover my ta-tas… I was feeling a little exposed before. She also added boning so the dress has some shape and sturdiness to it now! She started on the hemline, straightened up some lines on the bodice, and started sewing in the zipper- Pretty sure we're going to go with the zipper- I just feel like it goes more with the style of the dress… thanks to everyone who voted and shared opinions! I appreciate you guys so much!!
As you can see there's ALOT of fabric up top now and it's poofy- but next time I try it on, March 12- the bust area fabric will be rouched at an angle from the center of the sweetheart outward, and it will lay tight and flat. It's a process, but it is going to be GORGEOUS!!! Can't wait. 🙂
