helping brides create beautiful weddings without breaking the bank

Hello! It's Elizabeth from Stockroom Vintage back with another wedding DIY project. I'm so excited to share this faux floral chair garland with you all. When I first started shopping Old Time Pottery for craft project ideas for this new partnership with the store and The Budget Savvy Bride, I knew I wouldn't be able to resist the store's faux flower section for long–there were just so many blooms calling my name!

This floral chair garland was the perfect antidote for my spring fever. And did I mention it was easy? So easy! All you need are a handful of stems featuring big, single blooms, a glue gun and some ribbon. (I adore the burlap wire ribbon I found in store!) I envision these garlands adorning the chairs at a sweetheart table at your reception, but you can certainly make longer garlands to use at your dessert table, welcome table or, well, really any spot at your ceremony or reception that is begging for some gorgeous, sunny decor. Be sure to visit my post on the Old Time Pottery blog for the full tutorial for my magnolia floral chair garlands. I would love to hear what you think of the final product! What kinds of flowers would you use to make your own version?

About Elizabeth

I am the owner, curator and stylist of Stockroom Vintage, a Nashville event rental company that provides vintage props and goodies to brides, photographers, stylists and the like. When I turned 30, I decided to finally close my eyes and jump. I wanted to wake up every day and live vintage—dream about it, shop for it, refinish it to its former glory. Stockroom Vintage is the realization of that dream. When I'm not scouring estate sales and flea markets and styling my favorite finds, I'm hanging with my guys: my supportive (and handsome!) husband Will and three adopted dogs, Nigel, Mumford and Topher.
