helping brides create beautiful weddings without breaking the bank

Every Friday, we're showcasing some of our favorite and most trafficked real weddings our readers love! We love to feature real-life brides who are keeping their weddings on a budget. And we wanted to highlight some of our most-loved and popular weddings for our new readers!

Today, we're highlighting “ Sparkly Aqua Wedding” that we published in August 2015. Angela and James hosted a beautiful outdoor wedding with sparkly and rustic details. I especially love how the incorporated chalkboard signs and books into their big day! Enjoy this sparkly, aqua wedding! xoxo, Jessica

Wedding Advice from Angela and James:

We had a lot of personal details in our wedding. The chalkboard signs were all made by my bridesmaid, Hayley, and she also glitterized the candles and painted the mason jars. She also did all of our floral arrangements, but I made some fabric flowers for my bouquet which each included a memento in the center – mostly brooches from my grandmother who has passed away. One flower also included my grandfather’s wedding ring. It was my way of keeping those who had passed on close by. James did the same thing with his bowtie, which was made of wood. It was in remembrance of his grandfather who loved wood-working crafts.

James and I love Disneyland and searching for “Hidden Mickeys,” so we hid Mickeys all over – including on his socks and in my bouquet! To represent our passions, we did old books and cameras as centerpieces (and we can keep those for years to come since we collect them).
