As a blogger, I get emails about all sorts of randomness on the regular. Often times I get pitched ideas about financial planning tools, (because of the word “budget” in my site title) and I get more than my share of emails about products or services that are just plain expensive or not budget savvy, period. I typically write a nice response saying “thanks but no thanks” but I recently got an email about a luxury experience site called IfOnly that made me reconsider.

IfOnly is the world’s largest marketplace for one-of-a-kind experiences with the world’s top talents. Sounds splurgy, right? And don’t get me wrong — many of the experiences on their site are on the pricey side, but IfOnly prides themselves on offering once-in-a-lifetime experiences and I’ve always been of the mind that experiences were worth far more than things. (A big part of the reason we went for a low-budget wedding!) The thing that struck me about IfOnly was the fact that they aren’t just charging a pretty penny for their opportunities — they’re also giving back! Every item or experience sold via their site helps a different charity or cause. Pretty special, right?

“At IfOnly, we believe that true luxury is not another bauble or thing, but rather the extraordinary experiences we remember and share. We believe that seizing the moment can transform the world within us, and around us. We believe we can ignite inspiration by connecting individuals with luminaries at the top of their fields. We believe in helping others, so every item sold helps a charity or cause. We believe in transforming “if only” into reality.”

This Valentine’s Day, IfOnly is offering chocolates crafted by Michelin-starred and James Beard Award-winning chefs, unrivaled dining experiences, trips of a lifetime, and more. Their entire Valentine’s Day Collection called 41 Ways to Say “I Love You” can be viewed here.

There’s everything from private dinners, front row seating at fashion week, private style consultations, and more… all at prices that may give you sticker shock, but what really jumped out at me was this super intriguing option:
