Catering: 1000

Flowers: 1500

How many guests did you have?

We had 38 guests, our immediate family and a handful of close friends.

What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?

It was important to create a wedding that reflected the sparkly and glamorous personality we have. I love blush pink so I had to have a blush dress and lots of pink in my florals. Other ways we shared are personal touches were in the glitter table linens, gold accents, and simple décor.

What was the biggest thing you did to save money?

Cutting our guest list. We had a lot of friends and family not happy but Jaquan and I really wanted to have a beautiful wedding. We ended up live streaming the entire ceremony for all our friends and family who could not come.

What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?

Hire a coordinator, I could not have done this without her. She gave me money saving advice and really kept the evening flowing well.

What was your biggest splurge?

Biggest splurge was on florals and decor (chairs, drapes, linens)

What was your favorite detail?

My favorite detail was my sweetheart table and backdrop. It was the perfect mixture of romance and glam!

What is the most memorable moment of your day?

I think everyone that attended will agree on this one. The best part was the father-daughter dance. That may sound a little biased lol. But it was a very emotional moment for me and for everyone else. He surprised me and brought my first shoe from when I was a baby and he started singing…and my dad isn’t a singer. But at that moment I felt like a little girl again, with not a care in the world. He was able to touch so many people with that gesture and not just me. And that moment was confirmation for me that everything would be ok and my father would always be there not just for me, but for us, for me and my husband.
