Midweek Autumn Wedding

Today we’re featuring a lovely autumn wedding that trimmed their budget by having their wedding in the middle of the week! Rebekka and Shawn incorporate elements of the season through embracing fall decor and their barn venue. Rebekka’s dress is stunning! And I love how they served the iced tea and lemonade at their reception in mason jars; such a cute detail! xoxo, Jessica

What was your budget?
We didn’t have an exact budget, we just knew we wanted to stay as between $8000-$10,000. Our final budget came in at just more than $7,000.
Cake: $250
Flowers: $200
Venue: $800
Hair/Makeup: $100
Dress: $2200
Decorations: $550
Mic: $600
Invitations: $250
Honeymoon: $1500
Photography: $650
How many guests did you have?
40
What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?
I handmade our ring box. My uncle handmade our wooden pallet guest book.
What was the biggest thing you did to save money?
Venue. We had a midweek wedding and it cut the wedding venue cost in half.
What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?
Make sure you keep a list of what you have bought. I accidently double bought some decorations ect that I had to return after the wedding.
What was your biggest splurge?
Dress. I hadn’t planned on buying a dress, I was going to wear a sun dress. However, after going to try on dresses for “fun” I fell in love with my dress and had to have it.
What was your favorite detail?
I have so many! If I had to pick it would be my guestbook. It’s exactly what I had pictured it would be. Plus it’s handmade and one of a kind.
What is the most memorable moment of your day?
Seeing my husband’s face as a walked down the aisle.
