Outdoor Gray, White and Red Wedding
A classic church setting and beautiful red roses are the focal points of today’s budget savvy wedding. Kate and Alex do a beautiful job of creating a simple, romantic wedding on a budget of less than $11K, including their cruise honeymoon! I love how they create ambience with the twinkle lights at their reception venue. And how fun is the old pick up truck they use to leave their wedding? Enjoy today’s outdoor gray, white and red wedding! xoxo, Jessica

What was your budget?
Our budget was around $12,000. We spent our budget based on the church, community hall, catering, decorations, cake, photography, invitations, flowers, bridesmaids dresses, groomsmen, wedding party gifts, rehearsal dinner, flower girl dresses, DJ, my dress, and we included our honeymoon + airfare into our budget as well. We were able to stay within our budget and only spent around $10,249!! Here’s a rough budget breakdown:
Church: $150
Community Hall: $150
Catering: $1,600
Photography: $900
Bridesmaid: $689
Flower Girl: $20
DJ: $275
Wedding Dress: $500
Tuxes: $780
Flowers: $600
Honeymoon: $3,570
How many guests did you have?
We had 200 guests.
What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?
Our wedding party consisted of all family members (plus one friend) ☺ We also made sure to have a memorial table to remember family members.
What was the biggest thing you did to save money?
To save as much money as we could on our big day I made sure and found the dress I wanted for the cheapest that I could find. I also did a lot of research on photographers. O’Bryan Photography was fantastic to work with!
What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?
Don’t let the drama get to you. This is your day and don’t let other people’s opinions get in the way of how you want your day to be!
What was your biggest splurge?
Our biggest splurge was the honeymoon. We knew that we wanted to go on a cruise so we really weren’t open to many other options because this is a once in a lifetime event.
What was your favorite detail?
I loved how smooth everything went on our wedding day. My family and friends were a HUGE help in making our day possible. It was honestly more than I could have ever asked for!
What is the most memorable moment of your day?
The most memorable moment of my day was getting to see my husband for the first time in my dress and walking down the aisle to him.
