Rescue My Wedding Dress Follow-up!
I’m so happy to be writing a follow up on my Wedding Dress Giveaway from last month! (https://thebudgetsavvybride.com/rescue-my-preloved-wedding-dress/) I chose Bride-to-Be, Allison , who wrote in to rescue my pre-loved dress. Allison also provided a few fun beach themed wedding ideas that I thought other readers might enjoy:
Hi my name is Allison and I saw this blog and the gorgeous dress and would like to enter this giveaway. I’m a young mom who doesn’t have much money for this wedding it’s sad to see that all of my paychecks go to my bills before being able to contribute to my wedding. My fiance and I are paying for our own wedding with no help from anybody. My wedding is on a budget and I try to scour for deals all over. It’s hard to be a diy bride but I believe it’s the most original and cheap way to go I’m planning on having a beach wedding where there will be no beach but just the imagination. I love this dress and would love to call it my own. Thank you
After emailing Allison some more, I learned she is planning a June 28th, 2014 wedding in San Jose, CA. In going with her beach themed, they are creating ‘white palm tree décor’ out of ostrich feathers. Her colors will be coral and aqua for a cool beachy theme, and her bridesmaids will be wearing silver glitter heel sandals, and short coral colored dresses with their hair styled in beachy waves. Allison is also planning a candy bar which will have fish and shark gummies.
I loved that Allison was planning a beach themed wedding, and since I originally wore my dress in Miami I’m hoping the dress will bring a little bit more of the beach to their special day! I can’t wait to see pictures and how everything turns out on her wedding day!
