Add Frozen Fruit Cubes to Your Cocktail

Red Wine Berry Sangria with Orange Juice Ice Cubes

Sangria with Frozen Orange Juice Ice Cubes

Featuring: Monarch Glen Merlot
US – $15 – 2016
flavor notes: cherry, sweet berries

We chose to create a delicious sangria recipe that played off the berry notes in the Monarch Glen Merlot. We added an assortment of diced strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and some diced peaches to make this sangria juicy and delicious. Our favorite part? We used fresh-squeezed orange juice to make ice cubes! This added a burst of citrus flavor to each glass, and ensures that your sangria won’t get watered down, instead it will just add more taste! Brilliant!

Add a Scoop of Sorbet to Your Bubbly

Sorbet and Champagne Cocktail

Citrus Sorbet Champagne Cocktail

Featuring L’Arche Perlée Crémant de Bordeaux Brut
France – $25
flavor notes: white flowers, citrus, green apple

For this cocktail, we chose to play off the citrus and apple in the L’Arche Perlée Crémant de Bordeaux Brut. We picked up a container of citrus blend sorbet to combine to make an amazingly satisfying and refreshing champagne cocktail. To make cute tiny scoops, we used a melon baller to place the sorbet in the glass before pouring the bubbly on top. As it melts, the sorbet makes the champagne even more delicious. Can you imagine anything more perfect for a hot summer afternoon? We can’t!

Freeze Your Wine and Make Frosé

Frosé With Raspberries

Featuring Racine Rosé
France – $15 – 2016
flavor notes: lychee, apricot, peach, mango

What’s more refreshing than a frozen slushie on a hot summer day? It’s easy to see why the frosé craze has really taken off. We’re smitten with the soft pink hue made by freezing this delicious Racine Rosé– and we made it even sweeter by adding some frozen raspberries to the mix! You could also add some fruit juice for an added dose of flavor. Freeze your rosé in an ice cube tray, add fruit, juice, and blend! We garnished the glass with fresh raspberries and lychee for added flair. It’s the perfect beverage to keep your guests cool in the summer heat!

Add a Popsicle to Your Wine Glass

Fruit Popsicle and Wine Pairing

Featuring Spencer Family Sauvignon Blanc
US – $15 – 2016
grapefruit, green apple, fig

Popsicles are a great way to beat the heat, and a great way to spice up a glass of wine! For this super simple cocktail, we just added a fresh fruit popsicle to a glass of cold Spencer Family Sauvignon Blanc. We also added a splash of seltzer for a dose of bubbly to make it extra refreshing. We chose fresh mango popsicles to soften the acidity from the grapefruit notes, and the result was delicious and satisfying. There are so many variations you could make of this cocktail by switching out the wine selection or the fruit popsicle. This is great for outdoor weddings, and the popsicle stick makes for a great stirrer to mix the melted fruity deliciousness into your vino.

Tips for Crafting Signature Cocktails with Wine:

  • Take note of the notes!
Check out the flavor notes in your selected wines, and choose fruits or garnishes that complement them.
  • Get Creative!
Scoop in some sorbet, add a popsicle, or make your own frosé to refresh and delight your guests!
  • Keep it Cool.
When serving drinks outside for an event, keep in mind that ice may melt. Swap in fruit juice for water in your ice molds to add extra flavor so things don’t get watered down.
  • It’s All About Presentation.
Choose a glass style that highlights the uniqueness of your cocktail.
  • Make the Most of the Bottle.
Mix your wine with seltzer, fruit juice, etc to stretch your spend for greater savings!
