Chic California Wedding with DIY Details

The Budget Savvy Bride

Paula and Nikko knew how to have a memorable wedding. We especially love their DIY projects and advice on how to save money!

Here is their advice:

What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?

We had a single round table for my dad who passed away 3 months before our wedding. He had his own table setting with photographs of him, an angel, and a candle. It was near our table on the stage.

Did you do any DIY projects or create any handmade items for your weddings?

Yes! Our centerpieces were DIY-ed. I got 40 mason jars for $20. For the seating arrangements, I got 3 white window panes for $30 each to write on! All of these were bought through Facebook Marketplace, and sold back through Facebook Marketplace after the wedding

What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?

Make a list of what you want to include at your wedding, and then slowly eliminate the ones you think you can do without. Prioritize which ones you think you’re supposed to spend money on, such as a photographer and videographer.
