DIY Fall Wreath Tutorial from Bloom Culture Flowers

Learn how to make your own diy fall wreath with silk flowers for your home or wedding decor in this tutorial from Bloom Culture Flowers.

What You’ll Need to Make a Fall Silk 

Flower Wreath

– Any wreath frame you like. (We used a thin grapevine wreath that is 16-18”) – Snips – Stem Wrap – Wire Cutter or strong scissors – Paddle Wire – Faux Flowers & greenery of your choice – Hot glue gun (low temp)

Supplies:

– 2 Faux White Sunflowers – 5-6 Faux Burgundy Zinnia – 4-6 Faux Golden Mums – Faux Filler Flower As needed – Preserved & Dyed Bunny Tail as needed – Three Types of Faux Greenery:

Follow the steps below to make your own fall wreath out of silk flowers!

Step by Step Tutorial

First, pick out the pieces of greenery/foliage you want to use. Do some test runs with each piece to make sure it fits the placement you want and has the right bend.

Step 1. Pick Your Greenery + Trim to Size

Next, start with the base of the greenery and secure it with wire. I like to wrap it around the wreath structure once and twist it around the greenery to secure it.

Step 2: Secure Greenery to Wreath with Wire.

Here I’ve used the large white sunflowers. I take a look at the size of each bloom and decide how big I want them to be. I’ve used the smaller blooms on the bunch because our wreath structure is pretty thin.

Step 3: Add in Focal Flowers: White Sunflowers

After greening the right side of the sunflowers, I move on to the faux burgundy zinnia. I sort of zig-zag my way up the left of the wreath thinning out towards the top.

Step 4: Add in Secondary Blooms: Burgundy Zinnia
