helping brides create beautiful weddings without breaking the bank

Our honeymoon has been a source of stress throughout our engagement. With life being so unpredictable, we didn't even know if we'd be able to go on a honeymoon. However, I have been persistent and won this battle. As with our wedding, we were also on a budget for our honeymoon. Josh's only non-negotiable was the same as with our wedding: all-inclusive, and we found ourselves a gem of a deal if I do say so myself.

how to groupon your honeymoon

Yeah, I'd heard of Groupon, but I had no idea how to use it or what the heck any of it meant. Now I'm a believer in Groupon, and it has changed the way I look at vacations. If you ask me now, I'd definitely tell you to Groupon Your Honeymoon!!

Here's how to save on your honeymoon with Groupon:

1. Search. Look to see what's available. It helps if you and your honey have talked about where you want to go.

2. Pricing. I am so budget-conscious that I usually search for things by price. Maybe it's a habit I formed in my poor college days, but it's helped me stay in my budget. For the listing, you want to look for All-Inclusive Vacation or All-Inclusive Vacation with Airfare. Then check to see that your nights-to-price ratio are adequate.

3. Details. CHECK THE FINE PRINT. This is extremely necessary, ladies. Some things to look for are if the dates you're looking for are available, what is included, check-in and check-out times, flight information, and any other information you feel is important. Don't skip this step!

4. Buy. Purchase your Groupon by checking your desired preferences. You'll be asked to sign-in and give your contact and payment information. Make sure everything's accurate before completing your order.

5. Book. Usually Groupon won't book your reservation for you, so you may have to go to the hotel or booking agency's site to complete your reservation. Under Your Groupons, there will be a voucher code you'll be able to enter at booking.

Now you've got yourself a budget-savvy honeymoon. Groupon can save you thousands on accommodations and airfare, so don't let the fear take over and dissuade you from saving money on your dream honeymoon! Groupon Your Honeymoon and score an amazing deal on the trip of a lifetime!

Have you used Groupon to book your honeymoon or another big trip?

I'd love to hear about your experiences.

  • Sounds like a plan. Thanks for sharing this Laura!

  • I’m still hesitant to try Groupon, but I did sign up to receive their email deals in Las Vegas.

We’ve used Groupon a few different times for booking hotels and had great luck. The first was to book a condo for a long weekend near Disney in Orlando. I do agree, read the fine print before booking. For this hotel we had to book separately after purchasing the Groupon (Just call the hotel immediately before buying the Groupon to make sure they have dates you want available). Then we used Groupon again to book a hotel over Valentine’s weekend in Chicago. This time the hotel was booked for us when we purchased the Groupon. As a bonus, you can also go though Ebates for extra cash back on Groupon Getaways!

  • It can definitely be anxiety-provoking. My heart was beating out of my chest when we bought it, but I’m really pleased and excited. You can def get some great deals locally! Y’all will have to tell me about the excursions you go on. 🙂

I bought a trip to Iceland recently and the experience went VERY smoothly but wasn’t without it’s anxieties. One thing for our trip in particular is that when we were picking our hotel and dates, it’s actually having you choose between TWO departure dates. You have to select which departure date you’d prefer and then hope that you bought the groupon early enough to get the date you preferred as it’s first come, first serve; so I had a few sleepless nights over that. But after we got our date we preferred, we only had to book our connecting flight. Groupon or the travel agency typically has an estimated time for your flight, so we could book our flight from our hometown to JFK even though we didn’t have our exact flight information yet.
I’d say it was very much worth the savings and our trip was incredible. Both Groupon and the travel agency were incredibly helpful and understanding

I got an all-inclusive 5 night trip to Punta Cana plus airfare there and back for 2 people for $1000 on GROUPON. If that’s not a deal, I don’t know what is!
