Did you do any DIY Projects or create any handmade items for your wedding?

I was incredibly happy to create my dream wedding dress and veil with Dressarte Paris. My dress was unique and personalized! It perfectly reflected my style, preferences, and individuality.

What creative or personal aspects did you include in your wedding?

The first wedding dance is a beautiful and meaningful moment that signifies the beginning of a couple’s journey together as a married couple. That’s why we took a few lessons with Jess from Start the Dance in order to be ready for that.

What is the most memorable moment of your day?

It was exactly the wedding it was always meant to be. Keeping it intimate, manageable, and heart-centered was at the core of what we wanted.

What was the biggest thing you did to save money?

To begin with, we wanted an intimate wedding with our loved ones. Keeping the guest count small was a wise decision for us that also helped decrease the budget. Another thing we did to save money was getting our wedding stationery done with Ian and Joanne from IJC!

What was your biggest splurge?

Our biggest splurges were our attire, venue and accommodation. However, it was definitely worth it!

What were your favorite details?

Everything! We enjoyed planning, and the wedding day was absolutely amazing! Everything we paid for contributed to our overall unique experience. We would do it all again in a heartbeat!

What’s the best advice you have for planning your wedding now that you’re on the other side?

Relax, don’t worry. This is your big day! Every one is going to admire you.

Be organized. Try to write down all of your jobs and tasks in a diary. Don’t plan more than 2 tasks or jobs a week as something else may pop up.

Plan your budget, and think about how you are going to allocate that budget. When you are talking with suppliers, always underline your budget and how much money you are looking to spend. Take supplier’s advice under consideration as they are professionals and they can give you great advice!
