helping brides create beautiful weddings without breaking the bank

A photo of my vintage inpiration taken at an antique mall.

We’ve all heard the saying, “something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue”, however, if you choose to have a vintage inspired wedding you can take this to next level. Not only is a vintage inspired wedding trendy, but it also means that you have an opportunity to incorporate family herilooms as your decorations. Borrowing things will save you hundreds to thousands of dollars on your decor and affords you the oportunities to dive into the past and relive some important family memories. After asking our families if anyone had antiques we got amazing stories to go along with the items we borrowed. Some of our favourite items are an antique washboard, old black and white photos and some vintage fire extinguishers from my father-in-law. We are also re-purposing some old items such as my grandmas 1920s suitcases to be used as a card box and weathered barn windows to be used as a seating chart. Its such a wonderful way to tie the two families together and honor the past while keeping within our small budget.

Tip: If you borrow items make sure you keep a detailed list so that you can return everything after the wedding.
