What was your design inspiration?

Meaningful and romantic cottage weddings to inspire Brides and Grooms that are looking for small summer backyard venue ideas.

A collaboration between Ching-Ya Tan of Design Quintessentials and Kelle Hardy the event host and designer of Flower Smith Studio, this cottage shoot in Hamburg, Michigan was beautifully arranged.

With a 5-foot sweetheart table, fringed with roses and peonies, a gorgeous floral arch, complete with a crystal chandelier, this event setting was both romantic, classic and elegant.

Describe your flowers.

Pink, blush and ivory roses and peonies.

Describe your cake.

Simple, elegant and modern single tier cake with a peony on top.

Please describe any DIY, handmade or personal details.

Mr and Mrs table signs, hand-made his and her’s vows, and the open bar chalkboard sign. Each of these projects are super easy to replicate on a budget, as well as the greenery/flower wall! A great photo op and decor item that can be a fun DIY too!

Describe the tablescape elements.

A white farmhouse table with an elegant collar of roses and peonies. Featuring vintage napkins, simple white china, and black accents.

Tell us about your attire choices.

Casual and dreamy, and totally budget-friendly. Two-piece skirt ensemble. The perfect option for a comfy-chic bride on a budget!
